  • Let's start with the bad. "Hedon" was a pointless traipse through a night of increasingly violent sexual encounters by a swimming pool cleaner. We got no sense as to what had provoked this odyssey. There was no sense of closure. I really didn't care for the film and don't see any merit in it.

"Adán y Esteban" was just about acceptable. It doesn't add or detract from the overall score fir the collection. I didn't find the dialogue particularly believable nor the situation - Nacho was far too drunk to be so seductive.

"Offline" was the best film. The lads were very attractive and the themes were fascinating. What do young people do when the world they inhabit, the Internet, is switched off? We see the answer here in a story that combines reality and a parallel account of what happens in the guys' imaginations.

I'd already seen the fourth film "Fotos Privados" of the collection as a standalone some time ago. The situation was real and the arrival of the visitor for a wild time with a couple whose relationship had staled presaged trouble as he had a fetish only one of the two guys could satisfy. The ending was both sad and optimistic - realise your potential was the message.

So, overall a bit disappointing, but that's the name of the game when watching a short film collection.
