Originally conceived as a documentary about people with Borderline Personality Desorder, director Fernando Franco dropped the project when he realized that his subjects changed and accentuate the Desorder traits when aware of the camera.
Vicente Romero was originally scheduled to play Jaime but had to back down due to personal reasons. Manolo Solo, who was going to play the guy who hits on Ana at Jaime's party, was then offered the role three days before shooting began.
David Pinillos edited the movie as a favor to the also editor Fernando Franco, who edited Pinillos' debut, Bon appétit (2010).
