Andrea is stressed before her spectacular art performance where she will hang for 12 hours from a harbor crane. At the same time, she has to drive around with her mother Dijana, who has started a new pain treatment. Dijana thinks her daughter is stressing too much and should take a regular job at Jonny's warehouse.

Andrea has given up art and is feeling better than ever at her new warehouse job. The mother Dijana suffers a crisis when the veal for the wiener schnitzel runs out and her daughter wishes for a completely impossible birthday present.

Dijana's pain treatment is unexpectedly discontinued and Andrea realizes that the medical service will not help them. Andrea is forced to come up with her own way. The mother should be placed on a pedestal - literally.

Andrea seeks funding for her art project about her mom. When Dijana accidentally reads the application, she discovers that her daughter has exposed her and refuses to continue with the project, but changes her mind on one condition.

Dijana is going on her first vacation since 1978. However, the 'charming' south Sweden cottage in Österlen is not the luxury housing Dijana was expecting.

The other patients from Dijana's pain treatment knocks on Andrea's studio door - hoping that Andrea can help them. Dijana's boasting about her daughter on Facebook has garnered attention, and Andrea is drawn into a new art project.
