Quotes2

  • [last lines]
  • Gwyn: Janeway said that Adreek had a plan?
  • Captain Chakotay: He did. But he knew before the ship could fly, first it has to sail.
  • Gwyn: [Chakotay has reacted aggressively over Jankom playing with a wooden figurine in the likeness of the former's first officer Adreek] There's not just chess pieces... They're his officers!
  • Hologram Janeway: Forgive him. He's a captain who's lost his entire crew.
  • Maj'El: His grief must be unbearable.
  • Hologram Janeway: After the captain and first officer marooned themselves here, it took a toll on them. Seeing Chakotay lose his spirit, Adreek wanted to give him hope. Adreek thought perhaps they could find a way off this planet and find another solution. The captain thought it was impossible and far too risky to try, but Adreek wouldn't give up. He thought if they could harness the antimatter generated by the storms, there could be a way to replenish the warp engines. Chakotay wouldn't hear of it, so Adreek ventured out alone to test his theory. But a storm blew in and he never returned.
  • [pause]
  • Hologram Janeway: It's strange. I haven't seen a new face in years... But here I am, opening up to you like old friends.
  • Rok-Tahk: I like to think we go way back.
  • Hologram Janeway: I don't know why, but I believe you. Chakotay has always been an honorable man. His bitterness hides a scar. He's seen more than enough tragedy for a lifetime and can't bear anyone else getting hurt.
