On June 20, 2013, two Toronto filmmakers attempted to travel to Banff, AB, to shoot a simple ribbon cutting ceremony. Torrential rain and subsequent landslides trapped them in Canmore, AB, at the heart of one of the worst natural disasters to hit Alberta in nearly a century. Unable to continue their journey through the mountains, they chose to document what they saw and felt as a state of emergency unfolded across the region.
