hjames-9782211 April 2015As a writer and a graduate of the 2 year training program (a long time ago) at Second City, I enjoy rare comedy as much as the next guy. But I just can't find the funny with MacNeil or this episode. Or any of them for that matter.
It all seems so forced and contrived. In this episode we are taken into an orgy first as peeping tom's through a window shot. Then the POV totally and abruptly changes without a shift into the room itself. An orgy is spontaneous (and yes, it can be funny) but not here. It's just dull and contrived. How do they talk actors into doing this nonsense? Or producers into shelling out money to pay for this.
I wasn't put off. Just bored out of my head. And in comedy there is --nothing--worse than boring. I know there's someone for everyone. I guess it's me.
