Nathan Drake: [playing "Crash Bandicoot", after losing a life by falling off a pit or crushed by a rolling boulder] So, why do you keep playing this?
Elena Fisher: Cause I'm great at it!
Nathan Drake: I don't know why people get into video games.
Elena Fisher: [laughs]

[the original Playstation console appears in the scene, and the background music of the first Playstation is heard]
Nathan Drake: Okay, watch and learn.
Elena Fisher: Oh, I'm learning all right.
[the Playstation logo pops up on the plasma TV screen]
Nathan Drake: Is this it?
Elena Fisher: No, it has to load.
Nathan Drake: Load?
Elena Fisher: Yes.
Nathan Drake: [impatient] This is taking a really a long time.
Elena Fisher: You have no patience.
Nathan Drake: When you turn something on, you expect it to... Oh, there we go.
[suddenly, the main menu of the first Crash Bandicoot game emerges on the screen]
Nathan Drake: "Crash Bandicoot"...
Elena Fisher: Is there a problem?
Nathan Drake: [attempting to play Crash Bandicoot by using a controller] No, no, just uh... How do you, uh... How do you make it go?
Elena Fisher: Push the START button?
Nathan Drake: I knew that. I got it.
Elena Fisher: All right...

Nathan Drake: [Sam and Nate are searching for the correct gravestone, upon inspecting one with the wrong date] Bad Dates

Elena Fisher: Okay...
Nathan Drake: C'mon, c'mon, wait. Elena, wait!
Elena Fisher: I don't get you.
Nathan Drake: Look, I wanted to tell you...
Elena Fisher: You know what, enough.
Nathan Drake: No, I wanted to! But how could I?
Elena Fisher: I don't know, just say it?
Nathan Drake: I had to protect you.
Elena Fisher: That is bullshit, Nate. You just didn't have the nerve to face me. Again.
Nathan Drake: I knew you would react like this.
Elena Fisher: [gasp] How would you react? You lied to me... for weeks. If you were killed, I... I wouldn't even have known about it. And now you have a brother? Who are you?
Nathan Drake: Come on. I'm me. C'mon, it's me. It's different this time.
Elena Fisher: Oh my God.
Nathan Drake: I have to save him. I don't even care about the treasure.
Elena Fisher: [In tears] The look on your face when you walked into this room. If you're done lying to me, then you should stop lying to yourself. I've got a plane to catch. You do what you have to do.
[leaves the motel room]

Nathan Drake: I wasn't trying to protect you. It-- it's just I-- I made a promise I was done with this life.
Elena Fisher: We both did.
Nathan Drake: Yeah, but I broke it. I didn't tell you because... I was afraid...
Elena Fisher: Afraid of what?
Nathan Drake: Of losing you. I guess I was, um... protecting myself. Y'know?
Elena Fisher: We got a lot of ground to cover.
Nathan Drake: Yeah. We should keep moving.

Nathan Drake: Seriously, Rafe. This is insane, even for you.
Rafe Adler: You wanna hear insane? "Nathan Drake raced a madman, and his entire army to the steps of Shambhala."
[swings his sword at Nate]
Nathan Drake: [Dodges the attack] Ah, Jesus!
Rafe Adler: "Nathan Drake found a lost city in the middle of the Rub' al Khali Desert."
[swings his sword again]
Nathan Drake: [dodges again] God damn it--! C'mon, we can get out of here together!
Rafe Adler: "Nathan Drake discovered the fabled El Dorado..."
[he tries to stab and swing at Nate]
Nathan Drake: [dodges both attacks] C'mon Rafe, stop!
Rafe Adler: "Nathan Drake is a legend."
[laugh]
Rafe Adler: You know, I shot the man who told me that.
Nathan Drake: Look, I get it, you don't like me very much...
Rafe Adler: You know, for all your "greatness", Nate, you have nothing. You are nothing. And I warned you to get out of my way.
