Synopsis

  • Hayat (Meryem Zaimi) is a young woman driven by a need to find her father, who left for Italy years ago, leaving her family behind. Leaving her rural village, Hayat arrives in bustling Casablanca, where she connects with a close-knit group of maids, Saadia (Bouchra Hraich), Iman (Iman Reghay), and Rkya (Fatima Ezzahra Lahrech), as well as Mi Hnou (Naima Ilyas), a seasoned maid who helps place them in the homes of Casablanca's elite. Hayat adopts the role of a maid herself, hoping that moving between different households will yield information on her father's whereabouts. Her quest leads her to work at the Guennouni family's home, where her friend Saadia is already employed. The family consists of Mr. and Mrs. Guennouni (Saida Mokrini and Kamal Benyahya) and their two daughters. Salma (Maha El Boukhari), the older daughter, is a lively teenager with big dreams of becoming a model, frequently sneaking out to parties to escape her family's rules. Her younger sister, Maha (Rim Fathi), is focused on her studies but struggles with feeling overlooked in the shadow of her sister's vivacious personality. Maha longs for more recognition from her parents, who shower attention on Salma. As Hayat navigates her duties within the Guennouni household, she becomes drawn into their complex family dynamics, adding unexpected depth to her journey while carefully guarding her true purpose: to find the father she lost long ago. Hayat's love story with Hamada ( Mouhcine Malzi ) is filled with ups and downs, as her feelings for him grow while her inner conflict deepens. She finds herself questioning if being with Hamada will distract her from her ultimate goal of finding her father, or if this relationship might just be another roadblock on her journey. Torn between her heart and her mission, Hayat struggles to decide if she can truly commit to Hamada without losing sight of the path she's set for herself.
