Best show I've ever watched on ShowMax. There were some slight issues I had, but the plot, pacing, acting and production makes many of those things irrelevant. However this is only based on the four episodes currently out, and Naija productions tend to have a habit of letting you down in their finales. But so far, it's on a different level.
Writing? What can I say. The show keeps you interested and constantly in a state of tension when it comes to the what's going on Dialogue is really good and sometimes great. Especially during the scenes between Zara and Moyosore Lawson.
They've managed some very good cliff hangers.
Production and Directing has been great too.
But we shall see.

Hands down, the best show I've ever watched on Showmax!
From the very first episode, this series had me hooked. The suspense kept me on the edge of my seat, and the storytelling was nothing short of brilliant. The dialogue? Sharp, natural, and sometimes downright exceptional. But what really makes this show shine is how seamlessly the story, characters, and performances come together-especially in the scenes between Zara and Moyosore Lawson and also between Oz and Zara.
The lead actress Onyinye Odokoro is pure talent! She carries this series effortlessly, delivering a performance so captivating that I can't imagine anyone else doing it justice. Her ability to bring out the little nuances in her character is simply incredible. I need to see more of her in Nollywood!
And she's not alone-Efa Iwara, Norbert Young, Ireti Doyle, Mimi Chaka and Bimbo Manuel all brought their A-game, adding depth and brilliance to an already well-crafted show.
Funny enough, I stumbled upon this movie by accident. Just the intriguing title caught my eye, and I decided to click. And wow, am I glad I did!
Everything about this show, from the production quality to the acting and writing, is top-tier. With 10 gripping episodes and a satisfying ending (fingers crossed for a Season 2!), this Nollywood masterpiece deserves all the praise.
Showmax did a great job! They deserve their flowers. PRINCESS ON A HILL is streaming now on Showmax-trust me, you don't want to miss it! 👏🏾🔥

Really liked the acting, characters and story. It's a step away from the usually boring storytelling methods of so many poorly written shows in Nigeria. Zara wasn't a perfect character who did everything right, even though she often tried to. Efa Iwara and Bimbo Manuel were excellent, as well as Mimi Chaka. I definitely felt the attraction between Zara and Ozzy, though I'm hoping she ships with her best friend Menny. Altogether, from the production, to acting, to well crafted story and writing, it really was a great watch. 10 episodes and a satisfying ending which will hopefully lead to a season 2? I hope so.
