A young boy is surprised by special treatment on this year's annual birthday visit with his grandfather. Instead of the regular tea and cake fare, grandfather presents an intriguing gift to the lad.
Writer-director Toby Froud is best known for playing the baby in "Labyrinth", and he has carried that association forward by naming his production company after that character's pajamas. He has also not strayed too far from that film's source material. Using some incredible puppetry, and aided by Jim Henson's daughter Heather, Froud creates a small world that would be right at home outside the walls of the Goblin City.
This is the world of imagination, and anyone with a heart will love it. Heck, even watch it alongside "Labyrinth", as they go great together.

Discovered this little short film per chance - reminds me fondly of the Dark Crystal. Well made, Lessons Learned is a nice little snack for the connoisseur of puppetry mastery and fantasy.
