When Henry holds the orb in garbage man's store, the blue glow of the orb should shine on garbage man's right side of his face, as the orb is to the right of him. Instead for a few seconds, a shot is shown where the blue hue shines on the left part of his face, despite the light source being to his right.

When Henry is in the vice-principles office the first time her middle shirt button is undone. In the next shot it is done up.

During the opening scene, Steve as a child tries to enter the mines, but gets told to leave by an old miner who looks like hes well into his 60s. Then later, when Steve becomes an adult, he goes back to the mines where he meets the exact same miner who looks the exact same as when Steve was a child. The miner should look significantly older, if not dead.

There is a scene where skeletons attack. The skeletons missed their shots whereas in game, they can head shot from a mile away.

The film is not meant to be a direct adaptation of the game's mechanics. Even then, skeletons regularly miss shots in-game.

"A Minecraft Movie" shows a main character known as Garret "The Garbage Man" Garrison creating double buckets using a crafting table, which is impossible in vanilla Minecraft.

The movie is not solely based on the original Minecraft game. There are items from the spin-offs as well as entirely original concepts.

As Natalie is taking the potato gem pizza out the oven, you see a number of potato gems falling onto the floor. She places the tray and the shot shows it all neat and the scene continues like she didn't just make a mess on the kitchen floor.
