The idea behind this series is interesting and the fantasy is entertaining, however, the leading character (Hae Sook) is really unbearable - most of the time her responses and behaviours are very toxic, unreasonably childish (for someone her age), and absolutely one dimensional. I am still watching it for the fantasy and other characters - but everytime it's her scene, goodness... dreadful...
The good parts: the fantasy, i love the mystery they put there, the side story with pets is lovely, and there feels to be still many rooms for the development of the story and universe. I hope this will get better in the next episodes!

Heavenly Ever After is a uniquely imaginative Korean drama that blends fantasy, romance, and comedy to explore the complexities of love and identity in the afterlife. The series follows Lee Hae-sook (played by Kim Hye-ja), an 80-year-old woman who reunites with her husband, Ko Nak-jun (Son Suk-ku), in Heaven. However, she chooses to retain her elderly appearance, while he appears in his youthful 30s, leading to an unconventional dynamic that challenges their enduring bond.
The scenes about dogs are immensely beautiful and makes you cry, must be preserved scenes, heartfelt stories and a must watch.
