A naive young girl becomes the target of a murderous sociopath when she attempts to reinvent herself to impress the boys in her small Texas town.

Chloe Okuno&#39;s &quot;Slut&quot; is an American 20-minute live action short film in the English language with not too much dialogue though and this one features a cast that is more known than you&#39;d expect. Even a Golden Globe winner and Oscar nominee is on board. You can check out the names of the players in the list. It was released back in 2014, so it is almost 5 years old and scored a pretty solid deal of awards attention back then. And I can see why. Okuno&#39;s lack of experience does not show and she manages to combine traditional elements from the genre with individual components that eventually result in a nice success. Here we have a horror/thriller film about a young woman running into a murderous psychopath, but she may not be as helpless as she initially seems. Maybe at the very end, the film tries to be a bit morter smarter and more significant than it should have, but it does not destroy the quality before, so it is a really good watch at times if you love the genre here. I personally give this one a thumbs-up and recommend checking it out. Good soundtrack, nicely atmospheric, really pretty much all you could hope for.

...this tasty little short has little to do with promiscuity in anything more than tangential respect. It&#39;s a salty little riff on &quot;Little Red Ridinghood&quot; that showcases a good amount of young talent. If there&#39;s any justice in the world, and I realize that much of that is as serendipitous as the resolution of this tight little nugget, then folks like director Chloe Okuno and lead actor Molly McIntyre have fulfilling careers ahead of them. Enlisting the services of Sally &quot;Anna&quot; Kirkland certainly didn&#39;t hurt, but it&#39;s the youngsters that carry this gem. Easily available on YouTube and probably elsewhere, &quot;Slut&quot; is very much worth a watch.

In this twisted after-school special, Maddy is an awkward teenager with self-esteem/confidence issues. When she decides to dress more provocatively to attract the attention of the opposite sex, she gets more than she bargained for. A darkly comic coming-of-age tale that plays like Little Red Riding Hood meets Carrie (by way of Blood Simple), this is an effective short film from Chloe Okuno, whose feature debut, Watcher releases soon.

&quot;Sweet Little Unforgettable Thing,&quot; is all about Maddy, a sweet girl who tries to reinvent herself to win over a new boy she&#39;s met at the roller skate rink. However, that handsome stranger ends up being a killer. Look for Sally Kirkland as Maddy&#39;s grandmother! This was written and directed by Chloe Okuno and originally released in 2014. I wish this story had more time to grow - something that you can say for several episodes - but while it lasts, it&#39;s pretty entertaining.

An interesting short. It have that themes arround womens : Trough that little girl who lack of confidence with boys and try to please them with some sexy outfits and seductive attitude . Its similar with that women who have all that but get killed. So we can assume that killer murder womens who are a little bit too much with mens with their attitude and the way she seeks sexual things and stuff . And we also get that confrontation with the killer with the girl who just assume her sexual desire and stuff . So is that a fight between a girl and her desires ? And how she fights back to basically become a women ? Was a nice movie short anyway.

Good set up for evolution of story. Well written, good performances, great sound and cinematography. Loved it!

No pun intended - our main female character here seems quite a late bloomer to say the least. She does not get the attention others are getting. It&#39;s a general thing with teenagers - and also boils down and has to do with how they present themselves - which also goes back to character. Having said that, we are on the journey with her, we may just not know exactly what journey that is and what role she plays. This being a horror movie and her being off may signal something ... or may be a red herring. You have to watch to get the answer to that one. Weird and good characters and very well written.
