- [Black Jack looks genuinely frightened and hesitates]

- [whispers into his ear and they look at each other in the glare of the torch]

- Captain Jonathan Randall: You can do better than that.

- Black Jack Randall: [amused] Yes, you will come to regret that, I'm afraid.
- [confronting Claire]
- Black Jack Randall: You're no coward. I will grant you that. You're a fitting match for your husband and I cannot give you a better compliment than that
- Taran MacQuarrie: [as he is lead to the gallows] I have but one regret, Fraser.
- Jamie Fraser: What would that be, Mr. MacQuarrie?
- Taran MacQuarrie: That I'll be climbing those steps before you. The other way around, you could put in a good word for me with St. Peter.
