Sheldon, an eleven-month-old pig, gorged himself on dog food and comes in vomiting. Sheldon has eaten so much that he is at risk for abdominal obstruction, or even rupture. Vet Tech Dyanne brings her bunny, Keiko, in so Dr. K can investigate a tooth infection likely caused by anti-biotic beads installed during a surgery last year. And chinchilla Prince comes in with an irritated, crusty eye. Dr. T gets to the root of the problem.

A macaw with a mysterious mass has Dr. K going beyond the call of duty, while Dr. T gets a visit from a tiny tortoise who lost a fight with a pit bull puppy. Then, a rabbit with cheek trouble challenges the staff, and Dr. K gets a special visit from a helpful pig with a super sniffer.

It is a challenging stretch of days at Dr. K's Exotic Animal ER. Dr. K wrestles a pot-bellied pig, and handles an aggressive squirrel. Dr. T treats a tiny chameleon and a newborn quail hatchling. And, the whole team fights to save a tortoise with a mysterious illness that has her whole shell and body turning white.

Dr. T must figure out what is causing an extremely swollen foot on Athena the skinny guinea pig. Athena's foot might have to be amputated to prevent the spread of infection. Dr. K performs emergency surgery on a fragile baby bird who can't breathe, and a wobbly hedgehog turns into a medical mystery.

Dr. K's clinic fills up with mysterious cases, including a one-year-old sugar glider who is lethargic and isn't eating, a gassy rabbit who worries Dr. K, and a baby macaw who suffers fainting spells. A sassy prairie dog has a toothache and Dr. K finds that she has food and blood stuck in her teeth. If she doesn't address this quickly, Sassy could have a serious problem.

Merlin the rabbit is rushed in after being viciously attacked by another bunny. Dr. T finds several bite wounds and she'll take extra care to make sure these wounds get stitched up perfectly. Next, an emergency patient, Princess the pot-bellied pig, comes in after eating poison. This could be life threatening, so Dr. T wants to get her weight and vitals as soon as possible.
