Poor effects, poor camera shots and angles.. also the story... whats up with that? Lots of selfie shots / ranting in one single shot/area (impressive but it really looses it's quality IMO)

Guy: Don't leave me! Woman: I'm a woman, I am not allowed to think.

    What??????????

Can't let the idea go to waste and all the effort tbh, since it was an attempt of making something original so 4/10.

Yes, that's what we need right now. A movie about a virus that is destroying the entire world! Virus of the Dead is a zombie horror anthology that uses found footage style action to tell about what happens after a zombie virus goes through America.

If you're ready to, well, forget about being quarantined and watch a movie about it, then...I guess this is the movie for you.

There are plenty of different talents working on this, including James Cullen Bressack (If Looks Could Kill), Shane Ryan (Samurai Cop 2), Timo Rose (Game Over), Jarrett Furst (Verotika) and Return of the Living Dead 3 scripter John Penney. It was put together by producer Tony Newton (VHS Lives, Grindsploitation).

The majority of the stories are held together by the fact that people just can't put their phones or get off social media, even when the world is ending all around them. I'm sure you can relate.
  • I am a Walking Dead fan. I even like Fear the Walking Dead. My standards are not very high. I like zombie movies.

The first six minutes are a mess. Tries to set the tone, but it looks more like badly made home made video than anything else.

The rest is a series of short clips showing the virus effects on different people from different walks of life. Almost a documentary.

The quality of the acting varies wildly. From really really bad and laughable to decent. Most are on the lower side of the scale.

The label "low budget" is evident everywhere, including the so called zombies.

It is not scary, and no surprises.

Should have given them a 2 but I felt sorry for them.

    dumb
Effects are stupid, acting is stupid, story is stupid, guess the only fans are the people who made it.

    No redeeming aspects at all.

It's like a community centre found a video camera and made the 'film' in their lunch hour.

    Give this one a miss.
  • I would consider myself a connoisseur of indie films, horror in particular. But this "film" is a disaster on all counts. The production values are non existent & the "acting" was painful to say the least, also the zombie make up looked like it was bought at a Halloween store. I usually dig anthology movies but this one seems to go out of its way to somehow be worse than mediocre, even that's an insult to mediocrity. I know people use "Found footage" as a way to cover not having a budget to tell a good story. But honestly with this film they need'nt have bothered
  • The rating was 8.5, now it's a 5,4...SO WHO KNOWS !!!
  • No part of this worth mentioning. Amateurish and silly. Nothing to see here.

This movie is much better than its average rating. Not all the stories in this anthology are good, but there are certain stories and scenes with some fantastic zombie content. I feel like the weaker content overshadows the good for too many viewers. If you can be patient with the weaker stories then this film is worth watching. The best stories are found half-way and towards the end.

My favourites were the zombie attack during the traffic stop, the amiable guy who holed up with his movie collection, the harrowing scenes with the husband whose wife has been infected in the other room, and of course the maniac laughing virus variant in the UK was completely chilling.

For those who enjoy not just zombies but also zombie fandom, this film is a great display of many stories from independent, zero-budget film makers.

Not the same old crap...tits, nudity and stupid people doing stupid things.

This is more like what people will be doing if a zombie apocalypse happens.

The only thing I didn't like was the very first of the film, before the "film segments" started.

The rest of the film was great though and the segment with the dorky geeks using the Apocalypse to make a zombie film, was hilarious.

NOT a found footage film, this film is more an amalgamation of what people would do after the poo hits the fan.

    I really liked it.
  • A unique take on the zombie film, like tons of short stories, low budget, but it added to the realism! A Very Scarey Zombie film.
  • This was something definately new to the oversaturated zombie film genre, the way the stories un-fold make this a great intense watch, you feel like you are watching a video log live online as it happens, 10 of of 10 just bought the DVD of this today.
