The story takes place in an alternate reality where a small percentage of children manifest superhuman abilities upon reaching puberty. A focus is placed on Yuu Otosaka, a high school boy who awakens the ability to temporarily possess others, which brings him to the attention of Nao Tomori, the student council president of a school founded as a haven for children with such abilities.

Pretty good plot... not great storytelling

Charlotte has an amazing theme. Once a comet named Charlotte passes near the Earth and spreads dust onto Earth. Those kids, who intentionally inhaled the dust got superhuman abilities upon reaching the puberty. However, such abilities are only for few years. Once, they are adults, they are bound to lose it. This anime starts off really well. It makes us look forward to how the storyline progresses. It sure was progressing brilliantly but somewhere in the middle it starts to get messy. No doubt, with the time travel theme, things were bound to go bit messy. However, other anime have handled the time travel situation brilliantly. Somehow, this one couldn&#39;t manage it well. It is obvious that the time travel theme is there to correct the things which went wrong earlier. However, many viewers may start feeling cheated if this theme starts messing with the characterization. It was almost like the mangaka gave us a very interesting character development of the protagonist and suddenly he is like &quot;No no, forget about this. This main character doesn&#39;t become like this anymore. He will be entirely a different one from now.&quot; It really felt unconvincing how Yuu easily got over his Hikkikomori psychosis just because he was reunited with Nao. And once he travels back in time, he appears stable as if there has never been anything wrong with him. Nevertheless, the anime does manage to fix everything towards the end. That&#39;s perhaps the more important thing. The anime is bit weird but it is still likeable. I would recommend it.

Most of the show revolves around a superhuman highschool, however later in the series the focus changes. I personally did not like the direction it went in later on but i did enjoy the last episodes. I feel like if they didn&#39;t change the focus 3 times and only did the school/mystery warrior instead of school/government/mystery warrior it would have worked. The show is kinda short and vague, lots of room for OCs and fanfics if that&#39;s your thing. I personally enjoyed SAO better because it had a clear definitive gap in their story shift, unlike this one where you dont see the focus shift coming until it happens. Then you are left there feeling &quot;... why? Just just go back-&quot;
But good news to action anime lovers the last episode is great. The first bit is almost purely romance/comedy genre and it shifts into action/mystery then back to a romance/action which is cool i guess but... just feels like the writers didnt have a clear vision of where it was going.

The story is boring and the characters are not good and the events are not great and the hero of the story is boring but my anime design and drawing was good
