Summaries

  • Seeking revenge for the death of her sister, the Witch of the East, the Witch of the West tracks down Dorothy and interrogates her; while the wizard seeks help from the Kingdom of Ev to defeat the beast.
  • Captain Eamonn has saved Lucas, who was rescuing Sylvie, taking them home and reveals the amnesiac was his best knight Roan, whom he can't believe being guilty of the slaughter of his guards troop. The wizard welcomes to the feast of the Beast the king of Ev, whom he needs to produce weapons urgently before the beast returns. However the king is senile, leaving the actual power to his daughter, princess Ev, who blindly prefers vengeance on the city of Oz because when the wizard saved it, he left the beast devastating the realm around by flood, also killing her mother. In her retinue is a sulking Jack, who isn't resigned to be presented as her 'possession', but even more bitter towards Tip, whom he can't forgive for abandoning him without even verifying his assumed death. Dorothy is tortured by the crazy witch of the West, assisted by Tip and 'her predecessor', a double-crossing game of deceit, ending with Dorothy escaping trough the sewer after West learns the power of the gun, before Glinda arrives, whom West now mistrusts even more as presumed brain behind East's death.—KGF Vissers

Synopsis

  • Episode 5 - Everybody Lies - Recap - Spoilers

Dorothy taken by Ojo to the Festival of Beasts, which will be the central focus of this episode, and delivered to the Witch of the West. Ojo wants his wife Nahara released from the Prison of the Abject in exchange for Dorothy and West she would have Nahara back for him the following day. West interrogates Dorothy and finds gun and attempts to use it.

Tip replacing Miranda as West's "personal aide". West communicates with North through some communication spell and told to wait until North arrives or she will make a mess of things. Of course she does not comply. Dorothy almost finds mean of escape but Miranda spoils it for her.

West wants to know what information or news the Witch of East was on her way share with them. Of course Dorothy does not know. West then holds up Dorothy's jacket and asks who K Chapman is and is eventually told Dorothy's mother but that Dorothy does not know her; West then states the Mother of the South who is her Mother as well as the Mother of another thousand more.

Dorthy later dropped by West and the Witch's glove appear on Dorothy again and West says those belong to the Witch of the East and tries to take them but is stopped by some force and later has to recover from it.

Dorothy wants Tip help but Tip blames her for her sex change somehow and walks away from her. Later Karen Chapman is thrown in prison with Dorothy! Dorothy asks how she got there and told the same way as Dorothy. Karen tells her to think back to when East was killed. Turns out is the West and now she knows how East was killed.

Tip is later helping Dorothy escape when Miranda shows up to spoil it but fails. Glinda arrives and upset she did not wait and finds Miranda trapped instead to the sewar drain. Tip denies helping Dorothy and Miranda tells West to look in her soul but for some reason when she starts to she calls out Miranda as a liar and tosses her down the sewer to her death. Could it be that Tip's soul could not be seen because of her past or gender switch?

Later Counselor Elizabeth is displaying the images from a Golden Monkey of the day of the death of her sister and it is Glinda-like white robed witch and the Red Robed Witch of the East in the image and East has something in her hand and she points it and then you see the Glinda-like witch fall and when asked if she wants to see more she says No, that she has seen enough.

Lady Ev and the King of Ev, August, along with Jack go to Wizard. Lady Ev considers Jack indentured to her for the cost of his "repairs". The Wizard states the Beast will return when the two moons become one. He wants an alliance with the Land of Ev to fight the expected Beast from Forever. Lady Ev gets two different meanings from Counselors Anna and Elizabeth from the Counsel on meaning of the prophesy.

Wizard wants Ev to help buildup weapons and King of Ev wants dog Randall that died brough back to life. Wizard realizes the King might not be fully sane and realizes that Lady Ev has been the actual power behind the scenes and he goes to her and she tells him he saved Emerald City when the Beast Forver came but left Land of Ev to drown along with her Mother and she wants to see Emerald City drown along with Wizard and that she will have her wish when the Beast returns.

Later the Wizard gives Anna a bullet and tells her it is more powerful than magic and can kill the Beast.

Eamonn sits down with Nolan and they discuss his past and Eamonn wants to help clear Nolan's name for a crime he know he did not commit. Sylvie tells Nolan that Dorothy still alive and points in a direction because she "senses' her.

Nolan is escaping with Sylvie and gets ambushed by 4 or 10 guards. Hard to tell how many exactly because I counted him taking down 10 but counted only 3 bodies on the ground afterward. From the last guard he finds out more behind his past. He then gets Sylvie to promise not to use magic even though I didn't see it being used. Nolan goes to Eamonn and surrenders.

Lady Ev and Jack discuss relationship and she wants to be friends and she never had one and assumed buying him was enough and he tells her friends do things together. They then head off to the Festival. Jack wants to know why Lady Ev wears masks ans she says she will tell him when they are friends. Lady Ev is attacked and Jack defends her. Being made out of some Tin turns out to have some advantages. Lady Ev kisses him afterward and Jack tells her friends don't do that and she said they should be something else then.

Ojo is later cheated by West and he is told everybody lies. Which is the title for the fifth episode.

Dorothy makes her escape and finds a mask and heads off to the Wizard's Palace. Dorothy enters the Wizards Palace and music is playing; Pink Floyd's Breathe is playing from a Sony Walkman cassette player and Dorothy turns it off. The Wizard appears and he sees the masked Dorothy and she says "Pink Floyd?" and the Wizard asks he asks how did she know that? She tells him they both come from the same place and she removes her mask and then asks if he knows her mother Karen Chapman; He then asks if she is Dorothy and he tells her that she has come home. During the end credits he asks if she is just a girl from Kansas or if she is more?
