  • Warning: Spoilers
Set in the neo-natal unit of a modern Japanese hospital.each episode features the doctors, nurses and patients who work together to bring babies into the world. There is no romance but lots of real-life issues are discussed in the show. Topics such as teen pregnancy, miscarriage, stillbirth, fetal defects, post-partum depression and single parenting are worked into episodes. Birthing scenes, are sanitized but given the culture, that is understandable. The cast is believable, except for a beautiful 18 year old girl portraying a doctor who would have been ten years older. The show honors mothers and the contributions they make to their families. The overriding theme is "hope" for the future. I was drawn in by this show, which has English subtitles and a lead actor,, known as "Baby" who plays piano in evey episode.
  • I really liked it, good acting, nice to see how other cultures handle things...but emotionally draining, a new case or two during every episode. I call it an emotional roller coaster! The musical aspect was very interesting, added to soothing touch I suppose.

One thing I would have liked other than the bromance would have been a little romance for the male lead. I guess they just wanted to focus on the maternity cases and nothing else. It really did that for sure. Don't suppose there will be a season three? It was done a while ago. I gave it a 10, well done and entertaining! I highly recommend it, just keep a box of tissues near by!
