This is a well done production without a story. It's just as the preview shows: long scenes without anything at all and then the artist is chased... but why? There's no lesson i can gather, and nothing new or interesting enough to justify making another stalker film, imo.

    Meh
    Dark Highlands (2018)

A man alone spends some time out in the wilderness. He wakes up one morning to discover he is being stalked. A slow moving effort that doesn't really go anywhere. It only gets moderately interesting toward the end. I wanted more tension and action. What did y'all think? 4 out of 10 stars.
  • Original does not always mean good and Dark Highlands proves it. Do not be fooled by the (as of now) above average rating. This is a slow-burn, low-budget horror movie that I can only describe as tedious. Like I said there is some originality here, but it is ultimately lost in a boring, convoluted art-house style film that lacks any polish or substance. There is some action but little dialogue and by the time it is all said and done, I was just happy it was over. Pass. 3/10
  • I'm always shocked seeing people give high ratings to films this bad.

This film isn't horror and it's not scary. I gave up trying to figure it out, no point! There is nothing redeeming about this film.

In a time when most new films are remakes, it'd be nice to see some new ideas. But this sure ain't it.

Save yourself the time, don't watch this muddled piece of garbage.
  • The opening of this movie is fantastical. Vomit-head was an amazing creation and the opening with him is disturbing in the extreme. Then the Japanese actor arrives and the whole project grinds to a hawlt.

    Shame. Started SO well.

The first 15 minutes of this film, basically a short film of it's own, are some of the more distrurbing things I've ever seen. Disgusting and compelling. Not suitable for suicide sensitive
  • I totally loved One Day Removals, and I admire this one, but I didn't love it. Looks great, brill acting, nice score, but a bit slow and ground has been covered before. Glad I bought dvd.
  • This is wat we need. Good, strong, original films. I liked the opening with Vomitman, I liked Gamekeeper, I liked final act. Scotland looks amazing. I want to there one day sion. Hoepe I don't get shooted!

Hardly an original idea in sight, but it has a certain charm. nice action, okay directing, too slow.
  • I'm not usually into anything too gory or scary but I was persuaded to watch this, and I made it to the end! The tension builds throughout, with amazing scenery and music, and you can't help but will the main character on. I was gripped from start to finish!
  • Started stong, ended strong and the film kept my attention. Amazing scenery.
