The author, Lauren S. Hissrich, has previously stated on her twitter in 2018: "The show won't be watered down." Later in 2019, she stated on the Spanish site Hobby Consolas: "There will be nudity, yes, because when people are intimate, sometimes they're naked. We talked a lot about this, from the very beginning and also with the actors. We wanted them to be comfortable with not just sex but intimacy as well, to ensure that the actors feel safe and comfortable.". While the video games popularized the image of Geralt of Rivia carrying a steel and silver sword on his back, the series is based on the books where he carries only one sword. He keeps the silver sword with his horse and rarely uses it. You can see the sword's silver sheath on some set photos of Geralt on Roach.

The soundtrack for season 1 is composed by Giona Ostinelli and Sonya Belousova. We don't know yet if the theme song will have lyrics or not.
