Josh Radnor has joined Jordan Peele’s upcoming Amazon series “The Hunt,” TheWrap has learned.

The “How I Met Your Mother” alum has been cast opposite Al Pacino, Logan Lerman and Jerrika Hinton on the Prime Video Nazi-hunting drama.

Created by David Weil, “The Hunt” follows a diverse band of Nazi Hunters living in 1977 New York City. The Hunters, as they’re known, have discovered that hundreds of high-ranking Nazi officials are living among us and conspiring to create a Fourth Reich in the Us. The eclectic team of Hunters will set out on a bloody quest to bring the Nazis to justice and thwart their new genocidal plans.

Radnor will play Lonny Flash, a movie star who is secretly a member of Meyer’s (Pacino) organization, The Hunters

I really enjoyed Ralph Breaks the Internet. More than being a by the numbers sequel, it has a lot of heart, humor, and a really important message on friendship. That's not to mention how gorgeous (and packed with hidden detail) the animation is. Part2 Pictures has optioned “Blonde, Beautiful and Dead: The Murder Mystery That Inspired Twin Peaks,” an upcoming project from MetaBook about Hazel Drew, the young woman whose murder 110 years ago became the basis for the fictional killing of Laura Palmer.

“Blonde, Beautiful and Dead,” by David Bushman and Mark Givens, examines the death of Drew in Sand Lake, New York, home of “Twin Peaks” co-creator Mark Frost’s grandmother, Betty Calhoun. Calhoun used to tell Frost stories about Drew, who was found dead in the waters of Teal’s Pond. Like Laura Palmer, she was said to have a double life that included multiple lovers.

Frost will write the foreword of the book, which explains how his grandmother’s stories about the killing lingered with with for decades, leading to the inception of the murder mystery at the center of his and David Lynch’s unforgettable “Twin Peaks.”

As indie production outlet Part2 Pictures celebrates its first 10 years, the company’s approach to documentary storytelling — premium content with high production values — has moved more into the mainstream.

“We have been doing what people now call ‘premium’ from the beginning,” says Amy Bucher, Part2 senior vice president of programming and content. “It’s as natural to us as air and water. We just think that’s the way you should tell stories.”

Lisa Ling has worked with Part2 for the better part of a decade, first with five seasons of “Our America With Lisa Ling” that aired on Own, and now with “This Is Life With Lisa Ling” for CNN. She believes the audience for such premium content in which Part2 specializes has always been there, but the current real estate between traditional networks and streamers have helped provide a larger platform.

Investigation Discovery has picked up a second season of Part2 Pictures-produced Scene of the Crime with Tony Harris, with premiere set for June 3.

In Scene of the Crime, Harris explores unbelievable injustices to better understand how horrific crimes came to be and why lives were forever changed.

In the Season 2 premiere episode “Down by the River”, Harris unravels the shocking case of three prostitutes brutally slain by a serial killer in Spokane, Washington. After 22 years and 15 more bodies are uncovered, DNA evidence finally surrenders a suspect – the last person investigators ever imagined. Harris scours police files, actual evidence and raw interrogation footage. He interviews veteran detectives on the case, a journalist and family members compelled to speak for the first time.

Amazon Studios has snared a Jordan Peele project about hunting down the villains at the center of one of the most horrifying chapter’s in the history of the world: Nazis.

The “Get Out” director’s new series, “The Hunt,” has been given a 10-episode order by e-commerce giant’s streaming service, Amazon announced Thursday.

The drama is a vengeance-driven Nazi-hunting series, based on an original idea, drawing from real-life events, and created by David Weil (“Moonfall”), who will pen the script and executive produce along with Peele.
