In a castle, during the rehearsal of a sword fight for a medieval show, one of the contenders, a knight in an armour, collapses. When they take off the helmet, it is not Philippe Reyes, the stuntman, as expected, but Noémie de Laurentis, one of the owners of the castle. Preliminary examination indicates that she was poisoned. Paul and Léa with the team must find out why she was wearing the armour. Lieutenant Inès Zaïdi returns from the Guayana to join the brigade.

Nina Delmas and Morgane Saroyan, two members of SNSM station in Port Camargue, find the body of Patrick Catala, 46, president of the association, drowned in the port. He was devoted to maritime rescue and apparently had no enemies. Lieutenant Lebellec learns that there have been several complaints against the station for response delays, and that someone was sabotaging the SNSM shuttle. Jules Gomez, the station mechanic, and Paul's childhood friend, is the main suspect.

Hervé Levers, 55, president of an association of reintegration sites, falls from the top of a scaffolding. All the inmates in the programme can be a suspect but also unhappy villagers being forced to live together in the village with prisoners in semi-freedom. The main issue for the brigade is to learn how the murderer was able to access the scaffolding without being seen by the other inmates.

Missing person: The body of a man is spotted in Vigan Forest, but when the police arrive on the spot, it has disappeared. Later, Magali Montoriol comes into the police station to report her husband, Fabrice, missing. Léa finds Magali surprisingly calm given the worrying situation.

Just an illusion: In the middle of rehearsing a new trick, the magician Lazlo Kane collapses near the stage. Victim of a severe allergic reaction, someone had added juniper essential oil to his thermos without him noticing. Léa and Paul will need all their magic to understand this masterly sleight of hand.

Masquerade: During a local fête, Aristide, president of the carnival association, is found dead. Why would anyone have wanted to kill one of the village's most emblematic figures? The investigation divides Léa and Paul.

As the memory fades (1): Arriving on a crime scene, Paul and Erwan discover Léa's unconscious body. Taken to hospital, the inspector comes round but has no recollection of her attack. She thinks she's in 1996 and in love with Paul who has just asked her to marry him.

As the memory fades (2): Manon, the young girl found dead on the beach, was in search of her biological parents. Is her quest connected with her murder? Is Léa finally going to recover her memory and be able to identify her attacker?
