The Palm Tree Inn, where Moment of Anger was filmed, used to be known as the Paul Bunyan Motel, Restaurant, and Lounge, and was a popular spot to stop on the way to the Sequoia National Park in the 1950s and 60s. The original ax of Paul Bunyan is still there, but the Paul Bunyan and Babe The Blue Ox were sold away years ago. They are now up the road at a nearby Native Reservation.
Whereas other locations required standard contracts and compensation, Town and Country Grocery of Porterville, CA, had a very specific request: that they NOT appear in the credits.
Porterville Lanes, site of the "Backgammon Scene," was made available on the day of filming, right at the moment the crew was going to go over and set up. The original location fell through during the dinner break, and instead of eating lead actor Bruce Allen Green made some calls and booked the spot.
