  • Jay Belasco and Charlotte Merrimack are a young couple looking for a house...an apartment.... any place they can stay. Finally, they hit on a scheme. They'll take jobs as a janitor and maid at a fancy residential hotel, and that will give them a home.

Although Belasco was the headliner of this and other comedy shorts distributed on a states-rights basis, most of the gags go to the the supporting comics, particularly Jack Duffy, wearing his usual "old man" make up, and named as "An Old Goat." Because of his facility in make up and his ability to take some mighty hard pratfalls, the 41-year-old Duffy would become a star in his own comedy shorts. With the nod of the silent era, he would give up performing and work as a make-up man. He would die in 1939, only 56.
