Along the way, Agent Mega must tango with a Russian femme fatale, waltz around a black market arms dealer, and samba through a horde of outrageous characters. With a license to kill and the voice of an angel, Mega must stay alive, complete the mission, and prove to his enemies that the deadliest weapon of all is a little song and dance.
- The story starts in 1957, with Agent Curt Mega (Curt Mega) tied up to a chair, being tortured by 2 strange men, one of which is revealed to be Owen Carvour (Joey Richter), an agent from MI6 and Curt's partner. After shooting the other man in the leg, the two agents run off with the blueprints they stole, planning to blow up the building. [Spies are forever] However things quickly take a turn when they are cornered and the bomb Curt planted blows up, giving them a chance to escape until Owen falls to his untimely death. [The coldest goodbye] 4 years in the future, we learn Curt Mega retired after Owen's death, but has decided to return to the field. He meets up with another spy, the informant, (Esther Fallick), who Curt thinks is careless but prepares for his mission, while informing the audience of his new drinking habit. [Spy again] We are introduced to the Deadliest man alive (Joe Walker), as he plans to trade for the bomb Sergio has brought in. Curt Mega is ready to bust in, till he sees a Russian spy (Mary Kate Wiles) doing the same thing. [Somebody's gotta do it] They both confront the DMA and Sergio but they both flee. The Russian spy steals. Curt meets with his boss Cynthia (Lauren Lopez) who scolds him for losing the bomb to the enemy and consistently remarks on how much he's lost his touch, while also remarking that no one likes the Prince of Sloviskia. She claims she only wants to help him, and instructs him to retrieve the bomb [Eyes on the prize I] Curt gets equipment from Barb Larvernor (Tessa Netting). He mocks her, but her crush on him is obvious. Barb mentions a surveillance idea which Curt dismisses. She begins presenting all the tools he may need on his mission [Pay Attention!] Then sings about her own feelings for Curt [Barb's lament]. Using the card he pickpocketed from the Russian spy, he knows she's at the Monte Carlo casino [Eyes on the prize II] As he encounters and attempts to seduce her, another man called 'Dick' (Joseph Walker) joins their gambling table and they all order drinks and gamble for a bit, before Curt loses his cool and attempts to attack the dealer, leaving Dick horrified, causing him to leave. Curt and the spy head into an elevator, where she says her name is Tatiana, she's not working for the Russians and offers him a chance to get the bomb back if he beats her in a fight. However, she apologises and opens the door, revealing the DMA. We see a man named Dr. Baron Von Nazi (Brian Rosenthal) talking to a puppet of Hitler. He's working with the DMA and Tatiana to rebuild the Nazi empire. He sings about how the Nazis have been 'victimised' in a satirical song [Not so bad]. Von Nazi claims he has control of Tatiana and will continue to do so, despite her protests, and tells Curt their plans to kidnap the Sloviskian Prince that no one likes, claiming they found this out because of a surveillance device they planted in Cynthia's office. The two of them exit, leaving the DMA and Curt alone on stage, where he tortures Curt, as Tatiana contemplates letting Curt die or saving him. She chooses the latter by hitting the DMA in the head and offering to save Curt. [The torture tango] Agent Curt Mega sees flashes of his partner Owen, before getting shot by the DMA. Act 2 opens with a reporter, Vanger Borschtit, at the world peace gala in Geneva, where the Prince of the New Democratic Republic of Old Socialist Prussian Sloviskia will be. The guests of the gala sing about how much they hate the Prince, while pretending they don't [We love the Prince!] Curt enters, revealing in a series of flashbacks that Barb helped him after he was shot, and Cynthia instructs him to abandon the mission. He doesn't listen, deciding to go rogue and informing everyone at the party of Von Nazi's plan to kidnap the Prince, but no one is willing to help. The DMA changes his plan, deciding to just kill the Prince instead, leaving Curt feeling like he failed, and Tatiana and him heading to a safe house. The safe house is revealed to be Curt's mom's house, where she questions Tatiana and Curt's relationship while embarrassing him. After she leaves, Tatiana tells Curt how she was trained to kill, eventually fleeing to protect her family, till Von Nazi promised a way to get them back [Prisoner of my past]. She attempts to get Curt to open up, where he confesses he's worried he'll never be the spy he was before and that he's killed everyone who ever cared about him. After touching his hand, Tatiana and Curt wonder if they should give a relationship a go [Doing this] However after their kiss, Tatiana realises Curt isn't into her and is in fact gay, and they decide to just be friends. But Curt's mom is still set on planning their wedding [Pay Attention! (Reprise)] Curt and Tatiana meet up with The informant and Barb. They decide to have shots before their mission [One more shot] Meanwhile Von Nazi attempts to persuade the prime minister of Sloviskia to let him help rebuild. The informant enters disguised as Bruteles. Baron sings to persuade them and it works. [Not so bad (reprise)] The DMA reminds him of his plans for a Nazi castle, and the prime minister and others sign, right as he realises Curt and Tatiana are nearby. They bust in, while Von Nazi berates them, when he's suddenly stabbed in the back by the DMA. When Tatiana questions why, he reveals that he was secretly Owen the entire time. Owen explains that he manipulated Von Nazi to get the Nazi Castle so he could dig the silicon that's underneath it, in order to build a surveillance system called Chimera to do a spy's job and collect secrets, attempting to destroy everything Curt built, as he despises him for leaving him that night. He tells them it's impossible to stop it, because it's bigger than they could ever imagine, saying it takes up an entire island. Owen shoots the informant and flees. Tatiana says she'll blow up the island so Curt can go after Owen. Curt follows Owen through a chase sequence of different vehicles as Tatiana, Barb and Mrs Mega attempt to find the island and destroy it. [One step ahead] Eventually, Curt and Owen stand face to face, with Curt claiming he's won by destroying the facility, but Owen tells him there are others. Curt attempts to get him to join him again, to no avail. Owen prepares to shoot him. [The coldest goodbye (reprise)] He talks of a world without secrets, where Curt mentions their secret, their feelings, confirming the two were previously in a romantic relationship, which Owen says is gone. Curt takes out his gun, and shoots Owen, realising there is no hope left for him. Curt returns to the agency to quit, but Cynthia said he was fired after he went rogue, but wishes him the best. He meets up with Barb, who is still working for the agency, and they plan to remain in touch. Finally, he meets with Tatiana and gives her passports made by Mrs Mega so she can return to her family. she is thankful for a clean slate to start over. Mrs Mega calls Curt, where he dedicates himself to taking down Chimera and prepares to go out alone. [Spy again (reprise)]
