    Stupid, stupid, stupid movie.

Could have been decent. Good idea, nice opening. That's the only good thing I can say for the movie.

    Now... for the acting...

The killers-for-hire couple... I've seen better acting out of kids during a school play...and WHAT was with her outfit? Was the murder in a BDSM club and how did she murder anyone without falling out of the top? Vapid and useless.

Mercenary guy goes into a building with a door he can close AND secure and yet he chooses to take a nap outside, in the open, where he's promptly attacked and ends up being killed by a couple of joggers...

Which brings me to them...a brother and sister. The ONLY reason I gave this waste of time a 2 rating was because they cracked me up and the only decent acting in the film.

Really...avoid this film as if...if you watch it you'll get the plague, avoid it

THE PLAGUE is nothing more than a mundane and predictable indie horror film, made with just half a dozen cast members and shot out in the woods somewhere. The plot sees a bunch of friends visiting Niagara Falls, only to find a toxic dump in the woods that reanimates the dead. There's a great deal of shouting here and shaking camerawork, but nothing else.
  • A well written and directed script that has the horror and gore yet well developed characters that manage to captivate the audience simultaneously. This is a factor most horror films overlook as their concentration is only geared towards shock value. The Plague sets itself apart by drawing in the viewers and making them know and care about the characters and their fate. A great movie that leaves you sated yet wanting more.....Kudos to the director, Emil Skalonja, and excellent cast for a job well done and a movie deserving of a sequel.

I give this movie a 10 out of 10 stars because it deserves it. It's a well written and well directed movie. Nicole Skalonja did a great job in the role of Becky. That character had the biggest change from the start of the movie to the end and she was badass. I was as hooked immediately to the movie and you have to think the what if something like that were to ever happen there. I loved the movie.
