Corporate Wars: The Making of Robocop 2 (2017)
*** 1/2 (out of 4)
Nancy Allen, Phil Tippett, Tom Noonan, Galyn Gorg, Mark Irwin, and Patrick Crowley are among the people interviewed for this documentary, which clocks in at 32-minutes and takes a look at the making of ROBOCOP 2. Paul M. Sammon plays host as he starts off talking about how the film went into production and throughout he shows some footage that he shot while on the set. It's clear that this was a somewhat troubled production as there was a rush put on the movie to get it into theaters and then there were various issues with the screenplay. The involvement of Frank Miller is discussed as well as some of the troubles with director Irvin Kershner. If you're a fan of ROBOCOP 2 then you'll certainly enjoy the various production stories and it's always great to hear some of the secrets of the set. It's rather amazing that the movie turned out as good as it did considering some of the stuff that was going on. Allen and Noonan are always fun during interviews and that's true here as both talk openly about working on the picture and some of the disappointments they had.
