Navy SEAL Lt. Samuel Diaz went missing in a top-secret Middle East mission, after a failed break-out the CIA gives up on him but ex Australian SAS special ops interrogation specialist, now CIA agent Samantha Cage calls a personal marker on Matty to ask for an informal team of Phoenix volunteers. Mac overrules Mac's objections, even to Sam coming along. Diaz is traced to a terrorist hide-out in a 'hissar' (Ottoman fortress, now luxury hotel) in Turkey. There they face and capture the most prominent Saddam Hussain minister still about, Acid Ali, whose capture during a daring series of Macgyverisms is priceless leverage afterwards.
