  • This based in true events serie is one of the best production coming from Spain this year. The casting and actors are all at their best, most of them I expect to see again in the coming years due to this success. I have to mention the choice of music which is perfect to create the thrill of the story, it gives the right 80s rock, punk and folk atmosphere and social background.

The serie tells the story of narco trafficking in Galicia (north of Spain) in the 80s and how it changed the economy, society and politics. The serie focuses on the families and clans that went from being cigarettes smugglers to become narcos and the consequences of their decisions.

Watch it if you are looking for a thrilling narco story on an unique setting.
  • This show is based on the real story of the Narcos in Spain during the 80s. The era is really god presented here in every aspect.

I really enjoyed this show. There are great actors here like the GC Sargent by Tristan Ulloa or all the narcos.
  • The screenplay is based in the first giant judicial cause against narcos in Spain. It is a perfect representation of the time: the music, the accent, the way they move, the clothing, the cars, how they male smoke, the Atlantic ocean. The political corruption. In the first years of democracy in Spain. Don't expect it to be an American narcos series. It is just the way it was.
  • Impressive in all ways. Recreation of that years, actors, script, direction. Is the best spanish serie I have seen in a long time.

I don't know what the people who gave it bad reviews were watching. I thought it was excellent, I binge watched this over a period of half a day. It was that good.

You can see the similarities with 'Narcos' and I think it holds it's own with it. Like Narcos, based on a true story and real life characters. Brings another dimension to the cocaine trade and how it entered Europe.

I recommend it highly, you should still be able to catch it on Netflix.

I think this show is better than Breaking Bad, it's an amazing drug show based on true events and with incredible acting and a great story. Highly highly recommend!

Buitengewoon goed gemaakt qua verhaal acteerwerk regie en sfeer
  • Everything in this series is so bad that I can't believe the ratings. The screenplay, the acting, the direction are so abysmal... Don't lose your time. If you hate narco's series you'll hate this one and if you love narco's series you'll hate this one as well. Because is really, really a very bad series.
  • Fariña is the example that the open series (Antena 3) can be of great quality. Outside the controversy with the book on which it is based, which can be used to put pure gossip, there is much more. The theme almost inherited from Narcos to the Spanish in Galicia works like a shot and presents protagonists with as much charisma as Pablo Escobar. The format of 10 chapters helps that the series has almost no filling and the distribution of budget is noted.
  • When a tobacco smuggling cartel in Galicia, Spain Coast turn to drug trafficking with the support of Colombian Cartel suppliers, things begin to taste sour in the Galician society. A lone policy sergeant go in a crusade against them and all the corruption political system that turns a blind eye. Based on true events. It is very well crafted with lots of action suspense and vibrant character development. Gripping, kept me glued to my TV set.

I know I gave it an 8, but this show was just WOW. The soundtrack, the ambiental, the story. It is just wow, the 2 only things that I didnt enjoy were, the bad acting(it has some moments when you just cringe from how bad are the actors playing a fight) and the fact that it only has one season. I mean yeah, Sito Minanco got arrested and sent to jail but he got out after like 20 years or something and he went straight back to the old habits. He recently got locked up again last year I think. And even if they dont have enough to make another season there is plenty of crime in the city of Galecia still. I saw on the news last week a drug capture on a boat in Galecia, a spaniol and a marocan transporting hashish. So there is plenty crime in Galecia to continue the story of the Cocaine Coast.

To be more specific on earlier post: in my opinion it fails in almost every catagory I.e., acting, make up, writing, direction filming screen play. If I were Netflix I would be embarrassed to have my name attached to this series. I could kick myself for watching this for the full 10 installments

Only watched the first episode and that was enough. Dull, cheesy, poor acting, cliched, 'bosses' that are laughable. Veey amateur production.
