Sonic challenges Eggman to a game of soccer in order to save the Village's beloved rec center.
Mayor Fink plans to close down the rec center. But makes a deal that Sonic and his friends can play against someone in a soccer. Eggman's robots are too shrimpy and weak to play in soccer. So Eggman goes to Roboken and turns Team Cybonic evil so they can play against Team Sonic.
