  • Lisa Loves is a British filmmaker nearly joined at the hip with the more famous (via self-promotion) Kendo, as she always works with him. In this debut for her in the director's chair, Kendo is present doing a fine job as camera operator (alongside her) and art director, but the differences in style between them make all the difference.

Loves is a Romantic, always giving her work, most famous being the classic daring! Media release "Geisha", a positive, romantic feel that is often missing from Kendo's cold, methodical, mechanical approach to the cinema/video medium. For "Lovers Touch" which has a subtitle: "For Exploring Couples", there is an instructional element best evidenced in the first two vignettes. The talent (mainly Eastern European porn players) is identical with that of a Kendo video, but Loves dispenses with no blow-job. Focus instead is on touching, caressing and smooching, leading to hand-job and intercourse, with release via money- shot on the belly.

The remaining scenes have full XXX content including sensual fellatio, but significantly no facials. Loves is committed to the Couples Romances style that has typified daring! releases, particularly in recent years when the label, originally headquartered in Spain but then recamped in Holland, has emphasized a wimpier, drowsier approach under the moniker "daring! Pure".

Only one segment has dialog, as James Brossman complains over his phone about his business, speaking in English, until fortunately interrupted by lovely Alexa sashaying over to district and then service him. Angelica Heart in the final scene is the loveliest of the bunch, and I was surprised that a young Mike Angelo was barely recognizable - I thought he might be Demetri XXX at first glance.

This is a good introduction to the dreamy approach of Lisa Loves, whose later work is even better.
