The episode opens with a 911 call reporting the deadly aftermath of an apparent home invasion. The dispatcher assures the frantic caller that the police are already "on the way". The police would seem to have no way of knowing where to send their officers at this point, because the caller didn't name the location of the crime, and the dispatcher did not ask for it. However, Enhanced 911 was implemented in the mid-1970s, which is decades prior to this occurring. The E911 system provides emergency personnel with the location of where the call originated from and therefore, they do indeed know where to send help. The other fact possibly overlooked is that the call may have been edited for the TV show and the dispatcher confirming the address may have been left out due to the half hour show time.
