  • I have no clue about what happened to Cotroneo.

Indeed, I find the most interesting part of "Sirene" to be answering a baffling question: why the writer of "Io sono l'amore" and "Un bacio" decides to be part of this trashy failure of a romantic comedy?

Money? the promise for a future "no meddling" production? But it's not the he's not working or that he's facing low success or bad reviews... so why? I guess the answer will not be intellectually satisfying and will have to do with money anyways.

So I'll just add that Sirene is as cliché-ridden, forgettable and dumb as humanly possible. Good job to everyone involved... not. Still I'm confident it will be a success given our culturally octogenarian audience.
