  • I saw the high rating, ran down to the box to get it but hadn't notice the small number of people who had given it a rating. Probably most of them are friends of the actors and people involved in the production. It's poorly acted, filmed and written. On the other hand, since I rented it and the Covid thing keeps me home, I did watch it beginning to end. It has it's merits. For instance if you like a medium good looking girl walking around in her underwear half of the film. I haven't bothered to look up the "true story" but I guess the moral is "you reap what you sow" when becoming one of those that are a part of the drug supply chain.
  • Warning: Spoilers
"You wanna make some real money?" Sure, who wouldn't. Well there are better ways of making real money without killing, raping, and holding people hostage.

Anyway, if you wanna see the black comedy version of a pot flick, then check out 1998's Homegrown. If you want something a little more bestial like Trespass or Straw Dogs, then Green Rush could put the paranoia in PRETENDO.

2020's "Green" has a cast of unknowns and their character's plight is based on actual, true events (the truth might be bending). If you are wondering what the "green" in Green Rush stands for, it stands for ganja, dope, fatty, herb. In other words, marijuana.

Directed by a rookie in Gerard Roxburgh and feeling overlong even at 88 minutes, Green Rush is a home invasion thriller where some nasty criminals infiltrate a marijuana farm and attempt to steal the farm's hidden profits (spoiler-there's a safe and a cave involved).

In verity, Green Rush is movie dithering coupled with psychological, fleshy, and physical torture porn (an ear gets bitten off Mike Tyson-style). Every actor has the need to explain themselves (and their motives) before actually getting down to business. "Green" is also randomly homoerotic and predatory thanks to the disturbing performance of antagonist Ticker (played by Scottish trouper Paul Telfer).

Filmed in Northern California, taking place in Northern California, and produced by UFC fighter Urijah Faber, "Green" has slipshod editing, dialogue that feels as if it was written in a rushed state, and some everyday twists and turns.

"Green's" story and foundation of a story is there. It's about greed, strained brotherhood, and the inkling of bud legalization. It's just too bad Roxburgh's direction is misguided, stalling, and a little out of sorts. Bottom line: Don't "rush" out to rent Green Rush at your local Redbox. Rating: 2 stars.
  • Not only is the story full of stupid stereotypes and a less than believable storyline, but The production is so bad! The sound is horrible, you can't hear half the things they are saying. Don't waste your time and money.
  • Waste of time. Poor script, poor production, even poorer acting. Low budget

    Sheer dross
  • The sound mixing, story, acting and overall production are horrible. The film stars a bunch of unknowns that don't seem invested in the nonsensical plot they've poorly attempted to sell. I think an amateur filmmaker from high school could produce something better.
  • What a load of dung i thought this was a true story but a true story could never be this bad
  • I saw the bad reviews, and as I had nothing better to do, I watched this anyway. Yes, there's a problem with the sound. Too much muffling and background noise to understand what's been said. But, this isn't a film that requires every word to be heard to make sense. But the acting was good. The story was good. And I would watch this again. I'd have given it a 7 if the sound was of a good quality.
  • Green Rush was appropriately named. It will give you more than a rush! I watched on demand on cable. I didn't rent it though I bought it. Paul Telfer was a big draw for me. Exceptional acting as usual and the rest of the cast were also great. Bloody and violent but sometimes that's a bit fun too.

I thought this movie was really good! It's a thriller with a lot of crazy and creepy twists. Even crazier that it was based on a real story as well!

I had heard of this movie and decided to give it a watch. I'm so glad I did. I watched it not knowing what to expect and it was fantastic. ! The fact that is a thriller and also based off actual events pulled me in from the start. Paul Telfer was amazing! Some movies are predictable, but I couldn't tell which way this was going at one point. I'd definitely give this movie a shot!
  • This was a great movie - maybe not for everyone due to the violence but I love a "based on a true story" film and the cast is great.
  • Looking for an action film with dark overtones, interesting characters, a twisted plot, and a really great scene that will make you as uncomfortable as hell, then this is IT! Look no further! Loved it!!
  • I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. It's full of action and the actors are great. Plus, I really didn't expect the way it ended-it's very rare, but I was pretty surprised (no spoilers!). I definitely recommend watching this movie.

Green Rush is an exciting movie with an interesting plot that will keep you guessing until the end! It stars the charismatic Paul Telfer, who plays an excellent scary, but sexy villain!

Big fan of Paul Telfer! It scared me...edge of your seat goodness. Go watch it!
  • This film was made by a group of friends using what was available to them. That being said it is a well written and enjoyable horror thriller. The villian is well portrayed and scary. The film does feature some fun bloody moments and is all around well done for the production budget. Would watch again

This thing was dope. Starts slow but don't let that fool you. It turns into a white knuckle ride!!
  • Great film Xander has a twin brother only thing his brother Ticker is a little mentally deranged and not someone to judge. Must watch 💯
  • It was an amazing movie, it has very good actors. An excellent production. I want to congratulate Paul Telfer for his amazing role in this movie. I definitely recommend this movie✨

Really enjoyed this movie. Crazy that it's based on a true story! Paul Telfer plays another less-than-nice guy, and does it so well.
  • This is definitely a thriller that leaves you on the edge of your seat! Based off a true story and jam packed with action and suspense! Paul Telfer plays the perfect villain as Always!!

This is a must watch!! Enjoyed it thoroughly!! You will not be disappointed by this movie!
  • Crazy movie (apparently based on a true story, I'm going to look into that.) Totally intense, unexpected twists. Believable action. I love this in a movie, not like all those high-tech, unreal action scenes. Of course those have their place in entertainment, but Green Rush dazzles with rawness and grit, illuminating a world that most don't know exists or could easily relate to. Good insight into the lives of very diverse people. It should make the average person a little uncomfortable; the movie does its job. Definitely worth watching!
  • Like others, don't let the initial slow start fool you. It sets you up for the unpredictable, wild ride that this movie takes you on. A bit of gore add stark color to some dark, terrorizing moments. The character, "Ticker", was played to creepy perfection by Paul Telfer. All in all, an entertaining trip.
  • Wow... wasn't sure exactly what to expect. But all that changed the minute Ticker (Paul Telfer) invaded the screen. Kriss Dozal brought equal heat and the Rush was on~ Definitely worth a watch!!! It's my Wednesday night Go-To! Tick, Tick, Time for more!!!!
