  • At first, I thought this will be a series that will just be a concert with different musicians where Rahman will lead. Instead, I was pleasantly surprised to see him give the limelight to the special musician and his /her instrument. The music piece at the end of each show was also where Rahman simply highlights the main instrument, but never takes the stage himself.

Wonderfully shot, narrated and edited show. Must watch!

    Warning: Spoilers
I st instance í saw the series. Í has nothing in My mind. Just was hoping to her some good músic from Rahman. But when started watching it was having the wow factor. A lot many instruments and the narration was great never knew the people and the instruments which are hidden on some part of India.

Greta effort and people who has a compassion for music, will surely love this
  • I am really feeling heaven while watching. It will make us forgot The ever running city life. The way they visualized and compiled is great, the core part is Rahman's music.

It make me go out the world(pulling me towards nature). It will through your monotony away.

Language is not barrier in the world. Only we need infinite love

Music can take human spirit beyond limits. With right devotion and character it can be very helpful to experience divine very easily and also God. Any honest attempt to keep everyone together is always appreciated. Music can bring all religions together, It's just magical.

The 2nd episode with Bahauddin Dagar ji was very touching.
  • The Mozart of Madras never ceases to amaze.. This is not to be missed. Beautiful shot, deep insightful conversations, great music...what's not to love.
  • I being little impatient..on a Friday evening, was looking for things to watch, I don't know how I missed watching or checking this out..or how did I miss the advertisements before..but I am glad I stumbled upon this series... I directly watched the 5th episode, almost skipping the episode to watch the final performance.. and when bedadbati started signing.. my attention was undivided and within few seconds of it...I was crying.. I couldn't help myself , it wasn't pain, it wasn't joy.. it was something else I felt when I heard her.. maybe it's the last part she sings in the finale song, it was more than happiness..more then a connection.. I couldn't stop. So I am watching the episodes now.. and all I can say is, it's brilliantly shot! The angles.. the background.. the finale performances stage.. the art.. it's beyond what I could imagine. I pity that not a lot of people will watch this.. they are missing something, one shouldn't miss. This can be done only by A R Rehman...

Knowing the unknow musicans to us and also to ar rahman was captured very well and the last tiny gigs which AR had like a Jam session was really well produced The last episode Man mauj main is the grand fusion which only a master and a true genius can think of
  • This is surely one of the most unique things that I have seen on the internet. These kind of programs should reach a bigger audience rather.

In the midst of all the mindless and mind-numbing fare that YouTube, Netflix and others spew out constantly, once every rare while these mediums do spring out some truly unique and inspiring.

So, I came across this new series on Prime: Harmony with A.R Rahman. I was expecting some typical good music from Rahman. But the first episode itself has left me spell bound. The producers have created this amazing experience where Rahman explores the past and future of rich musical heritage of Bharat, examining not just the traditions of the musical lineages, but also offers an insight into the journey of the brilliant artists that drew them to the instrument itself.

This is truly a feast for your senses with amazing visuals and well-crafted script.

Put a break in the fast moving life, sit with your legs cross on the old chair, look through the window, hear the sounds around and just feel how beautiful the nature is. That's what this series made me realise!!!

A fantastic treat from eyesand ears. Direction, sound engineer, production andevery othwr thing was spot on. Something like this will never happen again. An absolute master class... Kudos to kavithalaya!!
  • Made four years ago, Rahman couldn't have realised how this would play now that India's prime minister is more concerned with Hindutva nationalism that marginalises the religions and achievements of the extraordinary artists in these films. I have no doubt PM Modi would learn a lot.

Politics aside, a series with some many attributes of excellence- where to begin? Firstly, AR Rahman: a fine, world-famous musician has crafted a huge idea in which he takes supporting role, showcasing extraordinary musicians, their instruments and voice onto a world. The diversity, richness and unique qualities of four now rare (follow up please) performers takes us into the mountains and forests to people some still describe as untouchables. Each is allowed to shine and collaborate with Rahman, coming together in episode five for a sensational closing event. I'll not attempt to describe it. It's moving beyond comparison.

No expense has been spared to.achieve cinematography of the highest standard, and of course sound that's simply superlative (check out the album too).

As someone who has visited India a number of times with greater love every time, this series shows what an immense cultural tradition it has, too often hidden (sometimes purposely by nationalists) hidden. Watch this and weep as it moves you. And for India today.
  • We will feel humbled & amazed by the talent, and the respect for these artists and instruments will increase. Immense respect for AR Rahman for bringing together such great talent and producing music. Getting to know their background was awesome. Each episode taught me something, and i hope these artists soar even higher. Camera work was beautiful. Got goosebumps in the last episode. My fav episode was the second one, with Ustad.. his knowledge and the way he takes care of his veenas, beautiful!Waiting for season 2!
