I thought it was well done for a low budget movie. I just wish they would have explained more at the end. A sequel to this type of movie is probably not likely so it would've been nice for a better ending. Or a clearer ending. A better ending would've raised my stars by a lot.

Don't understand it at all. Badly cut movie. Jumping too much in time both backwards and forwards. Bad sound. Too high sometimes and too low other times. Weirdest ending ever. Don't recommend it at all
  • Audio was very drastic. Either super loud or very quiet. The acting was pretty cringy at some points. Especially during the interviews with the LAPD and the PI. Cringe cringe cringe. I feel like if you're trying to mimic a broadcasting app or an 'edgy' Youtuber you would actually try to make the site he is using look real and not like a children's sticker book. Why bother with the extra video effects and making him all yellow and distorted.... save yourself the time and don't watch this movie. The director should probably find a different career.
  • I'm a sucker for a good, or even an average found footage movie. Unfortunately this was neither of those. It had very few redeeming features. The acting was poor, the story was ridiculous and all over the place, but the most annoying thing for me was the audio. Most of the Facebook posts the main character makes has loud, awful music playing in the back ground, which really distracts from the dialogue. Other "background" music consisted of what sounded like discordant digeridoo played through a distortion pedal. There is a very clumsy message about the dangers of putting your information out on social media, but it is hammered home with such lack of subtlety it loses any impact it may have had.
  • No one cares about your personal life. To watch someone air their personal life on Facebook or any other app is dumb and dangerous. I unfriend people like that. If you want attention....get a pet.

Boring as all hell with ghetto music.

Look I was totally into this and thought this was gonna be one of those rare gemstone indies but they just bailed on the ending! I would've given this a higher rating had they not ended how they did.

It's low budget but I thought it was made pretty good. I liked the story and while it was subtle, they did a good job of building tension without relying on jump scares.

This wasn't bad. The ending just ruined it for me. They know they ain't right!

This is possibly the worst film I've ever watched.

The premise is good. The execution is dire! The acting is abysmal, from all characters, very un-believable. Like has been mentioned, the sound is either very quiet or very loud.
  • I love this genre and love this film! It's all about the details with a found footage film and this movie was ripe with them. So much so, the filmmakers maintained a Facebook account for two years. Actually, multiple accounts; Linda Johnson, Josh Jones and Patrick Flannagan. Truly a 4-d experience because everything you see happening on Linda's timeline in the movie, happened on her "actual" timeline on Facebook... but it's the whole thing (they really cut things down for the movie). While I would have loved to have the ending wrap up a bit better, I see things are set up for a sequel and in real life, things don't always wrap up in a nice neat package... so I dug that. Highly recommend if you're into found footage. If you're looking for a typical cookie cutter Hollywood version of found footage go watch Searching.
  • Solid low budget film. A lot of people saying steer well clear and I have to disagree. Unfair evaluations. One person has left a review after watching 15 minutes and then turning it off... I mean... really? Like I said... its low budget, but that doesnt make it a bad thing.

You have more and more questions and concerns growing as the film goes on and it does become quite creepy, not to mention the fact that this is a real-world, real-time issue in our modern society. The main character is easy to like regardless of her naive disposition.

However the ending doesnt answer many questions or even make much sense. Also the cops in the interview room are TERRIBLE actors. Some of the screen graphics are also poor but I'd depends how fussy you really want to be.

Not bad at all. I've wasted my time on much bigger, more popular and bigger budget stuff.
  • This had the potential to be a very good movie , but no not even mildly good . It was executed very poorly. not sure where they found the actors but there was no emotion at ALL and the ending is pretty much pointless gives no closer to the movie at all. I would recommend skipping this movie if you're curious about it
  • I won't give it away but the ending is perplexing. I really was into the movie however It left me wanting a lot more of an explanation though. Not in a good way though, I felt like I wanted to go back over it and see what I missed, because well... I missed something right?. I actually forgot I was watching a movie for a second, and when that happens it means it's got something. Not all stories can pull you in like that. For a low budget film they did well. They put a lot of things in the background for you to see and hear, at the end there is something going on in the background on the radio and I wish I could hear it more clearly because I feel like it was very important. Other than that, I thought the sound was okay. The only problem I had was really the end. I've seen way worse story lines from some big named studios on big budget films. I do watch a decent amount of lower budget films though so I'm not a consumer that is necessarily going to always miss the big money when it is gone.
  • Gets you out of your comfort zone by exploring the limits point-of-view storytelling. There are some unvarnished edges, but it's still intriguing like the inner logic of a burr puzzle. If you like getting lost down internet rabbit holes this'll be right up your alley.
  • Warning: Spoilers
    SPOILER ALERT!

    In this Review

    IS a SPOILER OR TWO.

    You have been notified.

In both the portrayal of a persons day to day actions and using the net to live stream and document their life, this was fairly real.

Also seemingly realistic in how useless much of that documenting can be when hundreds watch and none take action to help. At some points the movie seemed slow, but this is simply due to the nature of viewing another individuals interaction sand daily life. We are all somewhat selfish, and the director makes use of our ego in setting us up for a false sense of security. And that is also a huge theme of this film. Not only do most think themselves just safe at any and all times, but many assume they are okay when at home, alone, streaming, but these are often falsehood. Even the presumed safety that far too many believe is guaranteed by the "police" is a fallacy and one of the biggest illusions and jokes of our modern world. A woman goes through a divorce, and though I do sympathize with her to an extent, she goes and does silly things like burning her ex husbands clothes days before he comes to reclaim them. At that point, I was on his side, but then the woman deals with him in a somewhat silent, detached manner yet I cannot tell if she suffered physical abuse from her husband or she was simply trying to remain calm while streaming.people are complicated. But the troubles many face in regards to kidnapping are very real, as is bodily harm.Safety is often an illusion and this woman, like many women and men and children are so glued to their paltry little devices that millions are not paying enough attention to their surroundings. This is a big problem too. ONe should always be aware wherever they are. We have instincts for a reason, and anyone should be able to recognize a strange sensation or situation around their home or in most given situations when danger presents itself.Get some protection in the form of pepper spray or a taser or a gun if you need, but dont be a victim and start paying more attention. The kidnappers in this film were representative of real organizations of flesh peddlers that operate in many countries, but whom wouldnotice the signs in a digital addicted world? Lotta meaning in how people in general are not paying enough attention to politics, governments, foreign affairs, domestic affairs or care about transparency of the police, courts and system. The movie portrayed this fairly well. In the end, nothing was resolved, except that one hacker with a heart of gold unwittingly took matters into his own hands and not only got himself killed, but alerted the kidnappers to his presence, putting them onto his trail and they made off with the poor woman they had taken hold of. IF the hacker had noticed only one person was watching his feed when the kidnappers went away momentarily, he should have ended his stream so they would not know where he had been shooting from, and he would have had a few minutes before the cops came anyways. Hell he could have called them too and not only lived but gave Linda, the kidnapped woman, enough time to be properly rescued. Perhaps this film had more than just one lesson, but the overall theme about being aware while streaming seemed the foremost. I felt strongly about this film, though I give it a 6/10, but it was none the less effective at keeping me watching.
  • Really got pulled into this tragic woman's life. I'm so used to watching things on social media, so the way this was shot made me feel like I was part of the story. I kept wondering if this really happened, so I looked up her profile on Facebook and she was there. And all of these things that happened to her happened on her timeline... crazy. Really holds up under repeat viewings because you keep seeing new things pop up, like comments in the timeline or clues in the background. Not a tradition film by any means but I loved it!

An interesting concept. Linda Johnson gets kidnapped live on her streaming acct and we watch her previous postings and various security cameras as to how everything happened. I'll admit some of it was a bit slow. The entire scene with her ex could have been edited down to a few minutes. But, I got caught up in her life and what happened to her through no fault of her own. And I actually liked her, which says a lot. So many times the main character is annoying and I don't care about them. A lot of people didn't know what happened at the very end. I watched the last 20 min several times and I'm positive I figured out what happened. All in all, a good little movie that held my interest right up until the end.
  • Based on how people live stream EVERYTHING these days, I could easily see this happen more often, and THAT'S scary!!!

This was a thoroughly entertaining movie for sure! Check it out with friends sometime or maybe even by yourself (with the lights on!).
  • I agree with reviewers that the ending leaves a lot to be desired.... BUT....it was really really good and grabbed and held my interest as not many movies do. I wish they would flesh it out more before the ending. It certainly left me wanting more!
  • I watched this movie about a year ago and am leaving a review and good rating now! I liked that it was a lower budget movie. They did a really good job for a lower budget movie! The main actress did a really good job and held her own. She was believable, felt real and was likable. I cared about the main character. The only thing I didn't quite understand, was the ending and last part of the movie. There were a few things I didn't understand about the ending. But I was reading from other reviews, that this is a movie you need to watch more than once to see little hidden clues, etc. So I will have to check it out again. Looking forward to seeing what the production company and Actress does next!!
  • Yes indeed a good time. Much like a lot of (imo) good found footage movies this all takes place via FB live, it's always much clearer and easier to watch when they use TikTok or YouTube or Facebook stuff.

This was creepy good. Yes Linda's character is kinda cliche lil cringe but who cares?

You ended up loving her/ feeling sorry for her but either ways it's a good movie emotion!

It gets spooky throughout so it's not like a slow cringe burn it's not just her doing videos without something happening. It doesn't all show at the end only.

It was good and worth more stars. Found footage films are seriously never "solved* bc the footage was left behind therefore"found" I recommend it. 100% I didn't rate it a 10 cuz I didn't wanna be "BOT" status. It's a fun time. Especially curled up on eclipse 2024.
