It wasn't perfectly written, the delay of Sharon wasn't really mapped out or timed out correctly, but it was a good episode. Those last few moments were intense and we know that tomorrow's episode will deliver the shouting matches we are accustomed to during a wedding in this universe.
Finally some of these questionable storylines are paying off.
