Being someone who loves Anime and watches it at least once a week, I decided to give this ago.
But, well, I couldn't get past the police station shootout. Unless Japan has the most incompetent police force, not to mention the least train to use a gun in a crisis against a single assailant with a room full of armed police, then obviously that scene makes a million amounts of sense.
But, you see in reality, when a person sees another being hurt, stabbed, or shot in a room full of people, the police officer is trained to move on instinctive, its their job, to protect and serve, except in this waste of an interesting idea.
The fact that the 'mask' only changes the face of the wearer, makes no difference to the ability of the person. Are we to believe it gives the wearer superhuman abilities that creates an element of fear where fight or flight is totally removed from the human race let alone the story?
The scene made me want to check out who wrote it, of course, too many chefs in the kitchen on this one.
Most manga is either a single creator/writer or a duo of storytellers, obviously when you have 4 and the director as a writer as well then well, you get a mess like this.
