  • These first three episodes is really creepy S***. Threathning twisted atmosphere is always Close, acting is super good Vell directed and story is interesting. Fear on my heart I wait what happens next.
  • In 2011, Gypsy gets dressed up and goes to a costume convention. Dee Dee meets Russ and Gypsy meets Scott, both are dressed up as Wolverine. Gypsy falls for him and discovers she was born in 1991, not 1995. She makes a secret Facebook account and buys a prepaid phone to talk to him.

Dee Dee and Gypsy both meet men and they have two very different opinions about men as a whole. Gypsy realizes she's 19 years old and becomes more rebellious towards her mother.

As the lies are revealed to Gypsy, the plot gets more interesting. Dee Dee is trying her hardest to control her while Gypsy is beginning to pull away from her. Gypsy begins to have secrets of her own.

    Crying
    Warning: Spoilers
What a dangerous mum. I can't stop crying and it's so damn unfair to be in jail for his kill.
  • It is really heart breaking to see GYPSY crawling herself over him. The way she talks and behaves around him justifies how her character has been under wraps all her life.

    Beautifully performed.
  • We see the transformation of Gypsy in "Two Wolverines", who has embraced social media secretly while her mum sleeps at night, and excitedly examines make-up tutorial videos on YouTube. Her curiosity about women, and courting men is at the forefront of her mind, but as we learned in the previous episode, she loves her mother - Dee Dee is her best friend, even if it is an abusive relationship, and up until now, she would rather protect her than live her life. Episode 3 provides the turning point in their artificially happy existence at a comic-con type event. They both attend, but on the way in Dee Dee explains to the event staff that Gypsy is 15. This prompts Gypsy to question her actual age, remembering a time when her mother explained she was born in 1993, not 1995. "Two Wolverines" have both women enticed by men in Wolverine attire, and blossoming romances complicates matters. Gypsy gets acquainted with a man named Scott that takes an interest in her at the event, and Dee Dee becomes shy around another man, played by Dean Norris. As "Two Wolverines" closes out, Dee Dee coldly stares at Gypsy as they park outside their house, and waits for her to get into her wheelchair to use the ramp. What a travesty. Episode 3 ends with an attempted escape from her distorted reality for Gypsy. When she learns Scott is in hospital, she places on her Ariel wig and rushes to see him, declaring that they can be together. At his house, they begin kissing, but her determined mother finds her and pleads for her to come home. You can feel the conflict in Gypsy's mind at the thought of returning to the house, but she finally gives in. Her mother tells Scott that she's 14, but we learn earlier in the episode that she is 19.

    Awesome
    Warning: Spoilers
The Act - Episode Three Continuing my marathon and another tense episode. Patricia Arquette's performance is impressive. Look at this final scene of this third episode, she didn't need to say anything to scare us, just looking at her scared her more than many slasher villains because we know what she could do, just like Gypsy knows what DeeDee does. Was capable. A deserving Emmy for Patricia Arquette for this role, there are times when she doesn't even need to say anything and it's already scary, the final scene of Gypsy entering the house with her is scary. Episode three watched on March 14, 2024.

    The Act (2019)

    Series

    1st Season

    Episode Three - Two Wolverines

The final seconds with Gypsy looking at her mother, knowing what she is capable of, and then going up the stairs and entering the house, was much more terrifying than many horror films I've seen.

As much as I know the outcome of this case, I hope so much that she tells someone, goes to the police, but unfortunately she must have thought that no one could help her and that her mother was just protecting her.

The pseudo-boyfriend looking scared the entire conversation.

Gypsy said she was going out and having fun but in reality she was with her mother and staff at the hospital, she's already learning how to use social media (although, theoretically, the hospital group were her only friends, right).

Episode three of the first season of the Miniseries The Act watched on May 10, 2024.

    Rating: 10/10.
