On Wednesday, 12th February 2020, ahead of the launch of series one of the GCHQ-set sitcom, Sky Television announced that it has commissioned a 6-episode second series to be broadcast in 2021.

The spy sitcom series will return in 2023 - but it seems likely that the series will conclude with a single feature length episode rather than a third series. Writer, creator and star Nick Mohammed confirmed that the GCHQ set comedy will return in 2023 but "it might be something different to what people are expecting". The special episode is scheduled to be filmed and released in 2023 and part of the plot is said to revolve around a climate conference. Mohammed has a slew of upcoming roles on stage, television and film - including a new Disney+ series Renegade Nell and the animated film Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget.
