  • The JoyBear crew heads to Barcelona, site of many recent shoots for the London-based Adult Cinema label, for this entertaining romantic trifle in the cyber age.

Since JoyBear does not use dialog, the frequent texting is nicely displayed in large cursive lettering on screen to help carry the story forward, along with voice-over narration for the main character Venus, spoken by v.o. artiste Monica Vox.

In the live-action actress Zoe Doll is terrific as Venus, a modern-day cupid, a hacker playing matchmaker with random folks, a very unusual variation on the character played (at least at first) by Rami Malek in the great TV series "Mr. Robot". For example, when Venus sees a handsome couple in public not relating to each other at all, so obsessed are they with their individual smart phones, she sends each one a sexy text message supposedly from the other, cuing their sudden urge to make love.

Venus is in search of Tuco, an old acquaintance who seemingly sexts her a selfie of his undraped muscular and tattooed torso, and finally (inevitably in a porn context) hooks up with him in the final reel. She has an earlier sex scene with her personal trainer Pablo (played by Juan Lucho, an equally tattooed Spanish actor who is very, very busy in porn videos these days from Dorcel and others). Zoe has fabulous nipple cones and a winning personality.

The rest of the cast has appeared in other recent JoyBear features like "The Guesthouse" and are all impressive. One interesting wrinkle in the Couples Romance formula adhered to by JoyBear: the guys all have big dicks, while the femmes refreshingly don't resemble porn talent at all.
