Saintly-2's rating
By far, one of the best attempts at a Saint live action project. From its inception in October of 1962, the Saint went on to become one of the most influential TV series in the 1960s. To this day, it continues to boast a die hard following, placing it in the same "cult-like" catagory as the Avengers or Mission: Immpossible. A classic, and one of my absolute favorite shows, this show does the character of Simon Templar justice, and proves to be one of Roger Moore's best roles. A pre-Bond Moore is suave and elegant on the screen, with his stunning white Volvo P1800S. A series that will live on long after its cast or crew.
This is more than just an adaptation of Bond: it's a plain rip off! With mediocre character sketches that Ian Fleming would not have approved of, this film goes down as the worst 007 movie. An older (even haggard) Connery tries to relive his past 12 years later. The result is a humourless, tacky version of the classic hero. Give me Roger Moore any day!
An awesome show of effects and spine tingling story line. Val Kilmer is so cool as the bridge builder- turned- hero, and Michael Douglas really stretches his acting muscle with this not- so- clean- cut character. The visuals of the African Savanna are stunning. Gets better every time you see it!
