Kill Bill: Vol. 1
(2003)

Breath Taking
I never wanted this movie to end. The House of Blue Leaves scene itself was worth the price of admission. This movie was pure fun(although I felt self-conscience when I was giggling with delight and the carnage she was inflicting on the Crazy 88s). I can't recommend this film enough

The Crow: Salvation
(2000)

Pretty Damn Poor
This sequel to the crow paled horrible to the original or even its lackluster City of Angels. It's obvious why this one when straight to video. The main character Corvis was badly acted (Corvis is latin for crow, ooooooo symbolism)by Mabius. Dunst seemed like she was forced to do this role. The end was predicable and the villains were just plain contrived, as were the scars on Corvis' face. Nice to see the guy who played Miles on Murphy Brown got a job, too bad he sucked just as much as Mabius. Don't even get me started on Fred Ward and his worthless contribution. Damn shame I had to shell out money to buy this film (part of the new Crow DVD set). Sigh.

TV Funhouse
(2000)

Funny as hell
This show is what Comedy Central needs. Good stuff. Its obvious the creator is ballsy enough to snub his nose at censors and for that I applaud him. Who out there wish there was a show with puppets that was as nasty as the puppet shows we made as kids? C'mon now! This makes up for the other shows which just plain sucked, like Strip Mall and the League of Gentlemen (Which they thankfully canceled).

George Lucas in Love
(1999)

wow.
The end of this film made me laugh out loud. Good stuff. The filmakers really took the time to polish this little short. A definate pro job all around. I was surprised to see the girl from ID4 in here as Marion. And the rival screenwriter with his script bound in steel with athsma was cool. too. Good stuff all around.

The Blair Witch Project
(1999)

Pleasantly Scared
I saw this movie in Austin at the Dobie. I had been waiting for months for this film and I was not disappointed. Alot of the scares actually came from the film-makers reactions, feeling of hopelessness and dread of the dark. This film plays heavy on your fear of the dark, scaring you the way you used to scare yourself when you were 5 and in the dark. The last 20 minites totally steal the show in feelings of panic and dread. I highly recommend catching this flick when it goes wide release on the 30. Hell, some movie companies are maneuvering their releases so they don't have to compete with the wide release. Like Mystery Men and Deep Blue Sea.

Go see it. Casey
