The Last Patrol
(2000)

Better than i thought!
This exceeded my expectations, as i have seen all of Dolphs latest films before this one and they have all been flawed although still watchable. I thought the main plot was pretty good and Dolphs performance was possibly his best. Sheldon Lettich directs precedings quite well and shows the experience that some directors of Dolphs other more recent films usually fail in. All in all this film is very similar to Stephan Kings "The Stand" although with more action, and it even has the strong religously orientated end as well which for me being a non-believer ruined the film just a little,i think this is deserving of 8/10.

Married with Children
(1987)

Al bundy is king!!!!!!!!
I have been watching this since i got Sky digital a year ago and have loved every episode i've seen since, unfortunately i've only seen up to series 4 i think but i am awaiting the new series coming to paramount(not brand new just first time in England). The show really should'nt be funny but it is there is nothing special about the writing and there are not any really well thought out jokes it is overly exaggerated but it is somehow funny. Al is the best character followed closely by Bud, Als facial expressions i for some reason find really funny and he comes ut with the best lines. There are classic moments that come from visual comedy or sharp one liners, i especially liked the episode where the Bundys had a Barbeque and cooked their burgers in Marcys Aunt's ashes, when all was preparing to get cooking i couldn't stop laughing then he says, LETS ROCK!. One of the thinks i really like about the show is Christina Applegate because basically she is fine!!!, when she was in the middle series she was at her most sexy and in the early ninetys series she looks the most fine piece of totty ever to grace the TV, Kelly Bundy is probably most guys dream woman Sexy, blonde, sexy(deserves two mentions) not very clever(because we do want interlectual superiority) and above all easy!!!. The best show ever and thank god there are still loads of episodes left for me to see.

Firepower
(1993)

average action that lacks firepower!!
This is one of those actions that is hardly heard of at all, it's very low budget and is below the likes that B-grade actioners like Olivier Gruner, Lorenzo Lamas and Billy Blanks, it is more like a Z movie but is suprisingly entertaining. The plot is average for an action film but there are some good sub plots like the search for an AIDS vaccine. The acting is poor, Gary Daniels sporting a Status Quo like hair do and putting on a ridiculous Aussie accent, as for Chad Mcqueen( yes son of steve) he puts on a good performance and almost looks worthy of an upgrade to the Seagal,Lundgren and Van Damme B movie categary. The real star of the show was Jim Hellweg (WWF Great the ultimate warrior) who although has about 2 or 3 lines, one of which is a grunt,he really does have a powerful onscreen presence and looks very menacing. At least the writers didn't make the same mistake other's have done when casting wrestlers in films by giving them, too much dialogue. Another good thing about the Ultimate one is he does all his own stunts and fighting in this which Hulk Hogan does'nt in his films, and for a laugh i urge you to watch some of the Hulksters films to see the amount of work is done by a stunt double some of which was pathetic and which a one legged 80 year old arthritic would probably have done( Hulks film Secret agent club is the best example, for example blokes with rubber bald patches put on their head just to collide with a wall or do a kick with just a bit of agility needed). Any way firepower is average by B-action standards and the fights are pretty good.

ps: i apologize to all hulk-a-maniacs( he did throw himself about in the wrestling)

The Minion
(1998)

Dolph sends Satan back to hell!!!!!!
When seeing this first time i thought that it was poor because there was not much action in it and that is what you'd expect from a Dolph film, but having watched it again and concentrated more on the plot and characters i found it quite good. This film had the most potential of all the armaggedon prevention films that came out before the end of the millennium but the lack of budget and amateurish direction puts it somewhere in the middle with end of days. Its promise was really in the story, it was similar to End of days with Satan as the threat of human extinction, but the plot was a lot better than Arnies film but the fact that E-O-Days had the big budget, and the impressive cast list it will be preferable to most people. The cast in the Minion has Dolph has it's only recognizable name and face but to be fair the other performances are of a good standard. Dolph rightly steals the show with a solid performance and does the predictable which is save the world. I think it would make an interesting film if just for once the world did end or the bad guy wins then at least it would surprise the audience, just when they expect the hero to save us from Satan he gets impaled with a spear or something and turns the earth into a blazing inferno then follows on by eating Jennifer Anistons charred bottom, but thats not gonna happen. As for this film it's a decent enough film with a good plot let down by the director who has only done the Minion and it shows, the film does'nt live up to its potential but i still liked it.

True Lies
(1994)

An action classic!!!!!!!
This is without doubt one of the best action films ever made and is Arnies most entertaining. There is a strong cast with Tia Carrera and Jaimee lee Curtis there to keep us guys drooling and Tom Arnold offers some comic support. The movie goes along at a cracking pace and the action set pieces are superbly played. One of the few downers would have to be the needless sub-plot of Arnie spying on his wife which takes up a third of the film. Arnie is probably too old to produce another action of this standard mind you people must have thought the same at the start of the last decade.

Jill Rips
(2000)

Bondage,Sex,Perversion...my kind of film.
Dolph stars in this thriller which delves in to the dark world of S&M and does a good job as the guy who's brother was killed after a session with a mystery female killer nicknamed Jill the Ripper. The films story is not too taxing on the brain but is far from simple and there are a few twists in the plot along the way as for the characters, there are a few engaging characters Dolph being one of them and there are a few who are not so engaging who in fact you really start to hope get killed off. Lundgrens performance is decent and he outshines the rest of the cast none of whom would be recognizable by name or face, the film is at times quite funny with some of the costumes and accessories that are on show. This is not a typical Dolph film and is a rare venture out of action for him and it is quite enjoyable i would give it 6/10
