L'ultimo giorno del toro
(2018)

It's boring as hell, but the songs are cool.
The kind of movie that you can't get why they made it. Valerio is this hypochondriac guy who never gets out of his apartment. He has a mother, friends, a beautiful ex-girlfriend, but he doesn't care about them. It supposed to be funny, but it's boring, boring as hell.

Day of the Woman
(1978)

Fore Gore Movies's Fans only
First at all, this movie is not for all the audiences, but the fans of Wes Craven's "Last House on the left", Sam Peckimpah's "Straw Dogs", or Jorge Grau's "Coto de Caza" can find a good piece of sexual horror in "Day of the woman".

The story is simple, Jennifer, a beautiful girl came from New York to a cabin in the Connecticut woods with the intention of writing a novel in the summer. Three rednecks and a delivery boy (a retarded) rape her and humiliate her in very horrible ways (about 40 minutes of . Then, she takes revenge in unexpected ways too. The atmosphere, the silence, and the loneliness of the character and the absolutely explicit scenes of the rape, and a great amount of blood are the elements for creating the tension and the sensation of anguish that makes this movie special. No music, a lot of violence, briefs dialogues and an evident low budget becomes this film in a controversial cult movie.

Vana espuma
(1998)

Its a shameless exercise of egocentricity
This ugly short, is the adaptation from the comic "vana espuma", (other Useche's creation) one of the worst comics ever made in Colombia, and the whole world. Bad directed, bad performed, bad written. This movie perfectly could have never been.

Bogotá 2016
(2001)

Sci-fi in the Third World
On this strange but refreshing movie we can find three different point of view of the Colombian future. The first segment "Quien paga el pato?" is some kind a thriller, involving the media, and the religion; the segment "La Venus Virtual" has the best plot of the movie, a bizarre tale of a dark city divided in two, the clean and the dirty citizens (the dirty are AIDS infected); "Zapping" the last one, is the parody of the classic TV Couple Contest. With a very low budget, "Bogota 2016" has a convincing outcome, with influences of Terry Gilliam's Brazil, Luc Besson's Last Combat and Jeunet's Delikatessen.

But the most important, this movie generates great expectations about the Colombian film making.

Evolution
(2001)

Reitman did it again
When I was a child, "Ghostbusters" was one of my favorite movies. Now, I'm 28, and Ivan Reitman's work in comedies likes me a lot too. "Evolution" is a cool movie, with a nice plot and good performances of David Duchovny, Mario Jones, Julianne Moore and (of course) the former "Ghostbuster" Dan Aykroyd.

Perfect for a Sunday's date.

Amores perros
(2000)

Best Latin movie of y2k
One of the best South American movies of all times! With influences from "Pulp Fiction" (Tarantino), "El Callejón de los Milagros" (Milagros's Road) (Fons) and "Paris, Texas" (Win Wenders), this film is fantastic. Better than "Magnolia", or "Abre los ojos". With excellent casting, art direction and photography. The Mexican Cinema is on the top with this and other movies like "Principio y fin" (The Beginning and The End) and "Sexo, Pudor y Lágrimas" (Sex, Shame and Tears) Just see it and tell me.
