Voltron: Legendary Defender: The Zenith
(2018)
Episode 12, Season 8

I don't get it
A zenith of a story should be its ultimate build up and its ultimate show of amazing.

This is anything but. It makes no sense and ends on such a disappointing and sour note that all of the super Altatrons will never make it better.

(and that scene wasn't even that great.)

Episode 11, Season 8

It makes little sense
The plot for this episode is all over the place. I can't make heads or tails of it, and the deus ex machina at the end...

Maybe it's better to not understand it.

Voltron: Legendary Defender: Knights of Light, Part 2
(2018)
Episode 10, Season 8

NOT CHILD FRIENDLY
Why is there a rotting corpse in a children's tv show?

Who thought that this would be acceptable? Oh my god, there's no way this should have ever been permitted.

Thank you Andrea, but...
Andrea did a wonderful job, and it's sad to see her last bit of work on the show be decimated by bad editing after the fact. There is no way that Andrea would have allowed the episode we got to have actually come to us without severe editing.

The voice work is all over the place, clearly sliced and diced at a later date.

Voltron: Legendary Defender: Clear Day
(2018)
Episode 8, Season 8

No. Just no.
Why is Shiro, a man with PTSD, going into a ring where people are screaming for the champion? What's with Allura being corrupted by darkness?

And more importantly, when you cut out dialog at the last minute you should probably remember that you need to fix the songs in the background.

Voltron: Legendary Defender: Day Forty Seven
(2018)
Episode 7, Season 8

Could have been cool
But an entire episode was devoted to characters on a potential spin-off that never got off the ground, leading to things that were actually important never getting explored.

It was a waste of time to watch.

Episode 6, Season 8

Something's missing
I'm supposed to believe that the magic of Oriande didn't protect itself better? I mean, it really makes no sense.

It was so anticlimactic and made me feel nothing but disappointment.

Episode 5, Season 8

The second-worst episode of the season
This episode is irredeemable. The set up was good, with watchers believing that the reason the paladins were being hunted was because of Ezor's death, but then it comes out that she just... abandoned her girlfriend because her girlfriend was angry?

That makes no sense.

Voltron: Legendary Defender: Battle Scars

Episode 4, Season 8

This the best they can do?
The loss of a random alien is the only thing that Pidge seems to lose in this entire show, and I can't even remember the alien's name.

Voltron: Legendary Defender: The Prisoner's Dilemma
(2018)
Episode 3, Season 8

Not one of the best of the season
I don't know if others saw the same episode as I did. This episode never paid itself off and the jokes felt flat and boring. The stakes were supposed to be high, but I fell asleep with this one.

Voltron: Legendary Defender: Shadows
(2018)
Episode 2, Season 8

Sets up but doesn't sell it
This episode would have been lovely if it was able to actually sell Lotor's tragic past to give him something more. The fact that you see he is clearly dead with no hope of 'redemption' makes it clear that this episode was pointless.

Voltron: Legendary Defender: Launch Date
(2018)
Episode 1, Season 8

A poorly handled mess
I have to say that with all of the beautiful imagery that Voltron has done, the scene with Allura and Lance kissing had very weird animation. It's something that was pretty clearly added on and it detracts from the episode as a whole. There was no reason to care about the Altean who died, either.
