The Matrix
(1999)

Honestly kinda overrated
People talk about this movie like it's the bible (or whatever fanatic crap you swear by) of movies or something, but in all honesty, I really don't get that. God knows I love dark and quiet movies like Blade Runner 2049 or Interstellar, but this one to me is just boring, claustrophobic and depressing. And in my opinion it aged terribly. I know I'm an anomaly here, but that's just my opinion about the movie.

1917
(2019)

Amazing
This movie is directed in a way I've never seen before. When you watch it, you at times forget about the story, which is great as well, because you're so mesmerized by the camerawork.

Shrek
(2001)

A timeless masterpiece
A movie suitable for children, but really made for an adult audience. It's funny, has many quotable catchphrases and teaches us so much. It shows us that love has no limits, that you can find love where you'd least expect it and that beauty doesn't show only on the outside. It is also a great story about unlikely characters forming friendships that will last a lifetime.

Shrek 2
(2004)

One of my favourite animated movies
It's great for children to watch, but in reality it's an amazing comedy with some jokes that wouldn't be appropriate for kids, but they're so elegantly hidden that they can't notice. Honestly I could watch it every week and wouldn't be tired of it.

Mission: Impossible - Fallout
(2018)

Might be the best in the franchise
What can I say? The acting is amazing, the directing as well, the stunts, the set, the scenery... Insane! If you like action movies, the chances you won't like this are practically non-existent. But you might want to see the previous movies first.

Die Blechtrommel
(1979)

Really not for me
The teacher made us watch it and now I'm scarred forever.

The Hunger Games
(2012)

Some things don't make sense, but a good movie nevertheless
Directing was a bit lazy at some points and some of the actors weren't the best. The plot is a bit predictable, but whatever. The thing that disturbed me the most was that the kids put explosives under their entire stash of food, so that if there was an intruder, everything would blow up and it did. That's like if a bank put explosives in the vault that would blow up when the silent alarm went off.

Captain Marvel
(2019)

I don't understand why people have such a problem with this movie
Someone said, she just won the power lottery without any character debt. Have we seen the same movie? Or rather, have you seen any other avenger movie? Most of them won your little "power lottery". There are worse Marvel movies in my opinion.

Game of Thrones
(2011)

The first seven seasons were absolutely incredible!
Obviously we were all expecting to be taken into another dimension watching the last season, which unfortunately didn't happen but exact opposite. Cinematography however was amazing. Anyway, the disappointing last season doesn't change the fact, that the first seven seasons were the absolute top tier of all series ever filmed in our history. If you're planning on watching the series, go for it, but know that while it is great, it is also as vulgar and cruel as it can be.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald
(2018)

Loved it
The scenery is beautiful and the magic looks even better than in Harry Potter. I love seeing Hogwarts again. I see people can't find the plot, but it's a film series, so be patient. You won't however get much from the movie if you haven't at least seen the movies, let alone read the books.

El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie
(2019)

Like an additional episode, another epilogue
We've all seen Walt's ending to the story. I think Jesse deserved one as well, him being just as important character as Walt. The movie is in my opinion on the same level as the series and hell, I'm giving it a ten.

Nocturnal Animals
(2016)

Love it, except for one thing
The movie is great. It has Tom Ford written all over it. However the women at the beginning were a bit unnecessary or at least the scene didn't have to drag for so long. Another thing was the jumpscare, when Susan is looking at the babycam. I definitely wouldn't mind that not being included. Otherwise props to Tom Ford. I hope he keeps on making movies like he said he would.

Fantastic Mr. Fox
(2009)

This movie is a piece of art
I've probably seen it five times already. It's not about the story. It's the setup, the colours, the Wes Anderson's style of shooting scenes. It makes me feel the way I can't explain. It's art.

The Purge: Anarchy
(2014)

The writing's a bit lazy
Like maybe don't go grocery shopping 30 minutes before purge.

Coraline
(2009)

Loved it!
I've seen it probably about four times by now. It came out when I was a kid and I was scared by just watching the trailer, but I gave it another chance later and was not disappointed. I wish there were more movies of this type. The music is unique and animation aswell. From the top of my head I can't think of a movie that's like this one. The closest that comes to it is probably Tim Burton, which is great, but different.

PS: If there are movies like this one and I don't know about it for some reason, please pm me the titles :)
