Fotografando Patrizia
(1984)

Decent portrayal of a pretty intense concept.
Not sure what to say but I saw this and it actually was pretty erotic and maybe because the actress is absolutely stunning. I think she may have one of the most nicest figures too of anyone I have seen on the screen and in real life! That being said...what transpires between these two is kind of twisted and the underlying theme seems to be the sister is a bit of a control freak that wants her brother to be attracted to her. Acting was pretty good, the male actor seemed not quite as well drawn a portrayal. With a sister that attractive most men probably would end up having some similar reactions maybe. The movie did feel sometimes a bit of a tease as far as how it plays out. Even with that being said I think this is one of the best of this category. I have not seen all of them but enough to say this one is one of my favorites. The end seemed a bit lacking though. I am always wondering why there actually isn't better movies made about this subject as it is something that seems popular with other types of entertainment if you catch my drift. Sometimes I think the movie industry gets really into a rut as they make their 15th Transformer redux and meanwhile Blade Runner one of the best movies ever made took 40 years to get their sequel!!! Its just a reflection of the general decline in our civilization and people are just wallowing in their lives of quiet desperation. Its strange how this site wants us to type so much letters and words as I can usually dig deep and find enough random stuff to say, but its still not enough to keep spitting out random phrases and paragraphs and sentences etc. Wow my limit is still not reached and I am getting writers block. Well at least its nice and cool in the library here today. It was a nice day to come in after my little swim at my local water hole.

Contra el viento
(1990)

Flat performance mostly from the principals.
The movie has fairly good looking performers but the acting was kind of flat. There is some tension but the erotic tension is not really well played out. The most realistic type of movie about this subject is probably Cement Garden which even with its morbid portrayal of a dysfunctional family gets the tension right. Maybe the language translation was part of the issue with how this movie plays out. The actors and actress are good looking enough but without much fire basically. I actually am surprised there are not more better movies that cover this type of situation as its subject matter is something that seems to provoke some primal response. The other movie that I have seen that was kind of realistic was How to draw a perfect circle. Again anther dysfunctional situation that the actors seemed to be able to channel.

The Maid
(2014)

Somewhat unrealistic plot with somewhat predictable plot.
I found this movie somewhat entertaining but it did have some holes in the plot. There are some domestics that are quite alluring but usually the very well paid ones generally. The other hole in the plot was that a fairly attractive teen woman went hard after the teen boy and he somehow found himself too obsessed with a so so looking older woman who did seem to make a connection with him and this created his lack of interest in the younger woman. If this situation happened to me as a young man I think I might have gone after both of the women! The sex scenes were somewhat frustrating because it seemed like for an inexperienced young man I would have imagined he would have been much more aggressive initially. Maybe I am just extrapolating from my early years of the dating scenario but most younger men tend to be much more aggressive the first few relationships. The least realistic part of the movie was the ending. Other wise the movie was pretty good.

The Center of the World
(2001)

Really want to give it a 9 and a half stars!
This movie actually was one of the more erotic movies I have seen in a long time. The mind games the principals play just added to the mix. Molly Parker I never seen any of her work and she does an amazing job. Sarsgaard does a fairly good job with this role and even though I have seen him in about 4 movies I don't remember them too well. The other actors all were pretty good too and the movie over all has now become one of my top 10 all time favorites. The movie makes you think about how people try to keep things business like even when that business involves getting so close. It's something I have had issues with in my life too as far as keeping relationships clear and keeping the boundaries in place.
