As an avid viewer of both Death in Paradise and Beyond Paradise, it was a surprise to see Jason Hughes, now in the role of Hugo Digsby, after an episode of DiP had him playing the owner of a hotel where Humphrey and Martha were on a weekend holiday (and where of course a murder was committed). But hey, that's the magic of television, shall we say.
This episode was a nice little meander, with ofcourse a few twists and the rather unsurprising outcome of who the culprit is. Kelby is the adorable puppy as ever and Margo is also in good form. Glad to see DS Williams has a private life too and Archie is pleasing to the eye.

Good storylines, but the acting is really too hysterical, especially in the first 20 minutes. What judge allows random people to walk into the courtroom and have them arguing while the other party is interrogating a witness on the stand?! Even if one of the judges is very bias.
The show is so much better if they tone down the pace like they do in the last half of the show. Then the show is very enjoyable.
Even though most characters are pretty annoying and the family dynamics are pretty messed up, somehow they are also likeable. And probably the reason why I still watch the show, despite all above.
